Only went for a half a day. I went with dd who is 10 and she was free and I think that was fair as although they have a kids headphone tour it is a whopper of a subject. What liked was there was tours for free round the gardens. Loved the headphones fully immersed in the site and history really interesting. I was tired though and skipped some bits but the tickets are a years membership and had I lived closer I'd go again and again. I loved the huts I think they've spent a lot of money making it interactive. There was like a tea rooms but we had butties so didn't cost it. You'll love it x0 -
Morning all
Today's Christmas stuff was buying dd1s dog an advent calendar and a couple of doggie mince pies from tesco.
Postie brought a couple more pressies I'd ordered off amazon
Free I enjoyed New Year's Eve but will pass it on to my mum, I've also got loads of books in my stash but I won 12 days of Christmas recently so thought I'd reread it before the new one set in the same area arrived next week.
Might do some wrapping later.
Oh don't know if it helps anyone but tesco had litres of balieys at £12 down from £20 when I was in this morning.SPC~12 ot 124

Have a fabulous weekend Free, hope you're feeling better and able to enjoy it properly. I only live about 10 mins from Bletchley Park and MK - could have invited you for tea lol. Needless to say I've never actually been round Bletchley Park properly with a tour etc, just pootled round once on our own when we first moved up here but it was interesting.
Nice to see you posting again DomRavioli, good luck with the new house. I saw the popcorn holder things in Home Bargains back in the summer but have been keeping an eye out for them for DD and haven't seen any sinceIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

I'm back from my tutorial. Properly exhausted now. Was good though. My tutor is lovely and my fellow students seemed like a friendly bunch. The lights went off part way through though. So the tutor next door went downstairs to see what was going on. The electrician working apparently asked 'do you need the lights on?' :rotfl: Well yes, kind of hard to study in the dark!
Not sure I'm going to get up to much christmas wise this afternoon - I'm so tired. There's always tomorrow though!“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Hi all,
Having an absolute nightmare, somehow got deleted from the system so only got paid for 2 shifts last week but also got all my holiday which I needed for christmas! Arghhhhh. Don't think I'm getting paid at all next week as they won't have fixed it by the cut off on sunday. So frustrating as going to have to ask my parents to bail me out if I don't get paid
On christmassy note.. Wrapped up DDs stocking items, accidently bought way more than space available so will get both DD and DSD bigger ones as I suspect I have way too much for DSD's too!
Also ordered a playmobil 123 set and DSD's tablet.
Hugs to all who need them.
Oh hun, that is truly awful! I really hope they sort it soon xDomRavioli wrote: »Hi everyone
Not been on in ages - its been manic here. I've had some health issues which have been getting a little worse so have been here there and everywhere, on top of work, overtime, and we just had an offer accepted on a house after the last one fell through, so we may be moving close to christmas...Aaaaaargh!
I've managed to pick up a couple of bits for my niece, and started thinking about what to buy for a couple of awkward family members (they are emigrating in a year or so, so nothing bulky). I think I will go with a hamper, I saw some popcorn holder things but I can't remember where I saw them...might have been on here?
Anyway, hope everyone is well, and hugs to all
I gave our unused popcorn holders to the charity shop before we moved or I could have sent them to you
Good luck with the move!Freespirit - Hope you're enjoying your time away!

I'm glad the first lecture went well
Free, have a lovely weekend away!
Well I dragged DH out to meet up with some of my closest friends who hadn't seen me since our pregnancy announcement (last time we saw them was early August!) and it was lovely being able to bore someone silly with pregnancy and baby talk as one has an 18 month old. Plus we went to a lovely restaurant for lunch and it turned out to be super MSE as we later realized they hadn't charged us for any of the soft drinks. I would have felt a little guilty, but service was a bit slack (nearly an hour before someone came to take our order!) so I wasn't sure if it was comped to apologize.

Hello all!
Just got back into the Xmas prep again. I was in London watching my rugby team play yesterday so I nipped into Central London this morning to pick up a bottle of Jack Wills aftershave as a gift for the player I sponsor. I got 15% student discount which was good. I think that's going to be his Christmas gift and then I'll buy him a bottle of Jack Daniels for his birthday present.
I've bought OH a lovely Ben Sherman watch and I'm going to get him a B&Q voucher and the Leicester Tigers calendar. I bought Mum a watch the other day which means I'm finished for her, and I've got a Canterbury toiletry set for BIL.
Just Dad, sis, nephews and step niece to buy for. I'm getting nephews and step-niece Jack Wills gift sets from Boots, and sis is quite easy to buy for. I also need to buy perfume and choc for two of my other friends but I've got time for that yet. Going to my mums week after next so will buy family presents then, wrap them and leave them.
