  • Evening everyone, i had a bit of a panic today i couldnt find the felt that i bought a few weeks ago to make my cutlery holders for the christmas table, i know its only 40 - 50p a sheet but i am pretty good at putting things in the right place and knowing exactly as they are (my memory really is getting bad its shocking) anyway i have found it out now so that is my next project, i have been right lazy today i decided to rest my leg and spent the afternoon and evening on blooming pinterest!!!

04624181 yes mine just seems worse at night atm i havent had that before and in the mornings it really is bad that i have to take my tabs before i get out of bed, i will mention it to dr next time i go, i hope you havent been in too much pain today! Your christmas sounds lovely :)

MOJOWORKING im not surprised you are falling asleep by 9 getting up at that time, look after yourself!

CLUMSY oh sorry you didnt get the reaction you wanted from your sister over the hamper, i felt like that last christmas when i made a tea and biscuit hamper for my friend, this year im not bothering!

ELLIE ah thankyou, isnt it disappointing when they dont smell as strong as they should, some of them are brilliant, but some are really disappointing i have just finished a large Cassis and i wont get that one again! Hope you had good news at Moorfields :)

SALMAGUNDI yep my excuse is if i deweb then i will knock some of the decs down haha yes you can feel the joy when reading peoples traditions and family activities i agree

NIC i do seem to be extra organised this year for some reason :D it will probably come back and bite me on my b*m now i have said that! Oh those advent calendars are gorgeous, it quite took me back to when i was young opening the doors to little pictures, no chocolate ones then heehee

MONEYMISSION it seems to have jumped so fast from 100 days to 72 :D

CROWDPLEASER whoa DD1 was early wasnt she!! Your hubby is an exception to the rule of men and christmas presents haha

VULPIX oh good to see you, hope you are recovering well from your op. Your christmas sounds fab as well! I would love to see a pic of DD selection pack if you can, look after yourself and rest as much as you can

MURIE aww thankyou, oh your treat bags sound brilliant no wonder they all still want them as old as they are :)

    CHERRY thankyou my lovely

WHITESATIN ooh you have a busy few months coming up then with a new baby in the family!

MANDCO ah thankyou, yes he is doing fine, he has had a week with mummy and daddy as they have had a week off work, he went to his first soft play centre yesterday! Ooh i never thought of dinosaur books, i was surprised how much he noticed the halloween decs actually, i didnt think he would but he kept staring. Ah bless Taz it is a bit confusing though isnt it celebrating ghosts, witches and monsters ??? Nice to know there are a few christmas books out now, where are the choc oranges on offer please?

LAZYSHEEP i know exactly what ad you are on about, it has been out a while and i thought exactly the same the music is very christmassy and the orangutan on it is cute, i was surprised it wasnt a christmas one too!

3FORHOLIDAYS what kiddie wouldnt like sweets and money!!! How are you? i havent seen you on here very much?

PEPPAPIG its the same here one year the door doesnt stop and the next not one person but you can bet your bottom dollar if i didnt get any sweets i would be mobbed!

KAYA thankyou, ah honey im sorry to hear you arent having a great time with your new job! It might be where you are so tired that you feel so fed up, is it because you are new that there are so many meetings? I hope you get it resolved and what a shame you lost your holiday, but if you hadnt have gone for it you might have always regretted it. Give it a few weeks to settle in and get used to how they work and then see how you feel

Ooooooh only 71 days to go, it's coming around quickly :):)
Money that does sounds complicated but I know what you mean, one year I had to unwrap a Christmas present for him and wrap it up in normal paper to give him on his birthday, I'm such a bad daughter...
Vulpix what's with the December birthdays eh, must be something in the air around March ;) that giant selection box sounds amazing as well! I'm going to hint to the OH, one year he melted down 6 chocolate oranges and made it into one giant one for me so he'll probably be gutted he didn't think of it first.
Crowdpleaser I'm impressed with your DH! My OH starts a week before Christmas usually lol
Glad you had a great holiday Cherry :)
04624181 ok that sounds even better I'm a bit of a Disney nut (like I need any more crazy obsessions added to the Christmas one!) and my OH has seen almost every film ever so would suit us perfectly! Our lot don't really need time to build up to dessert (think Joey from friends on Thanksgiving 'cut me a real piece!' lol) it will go down well on boxing day especially when everyone has had enough of boardgames :D
Pink I try and get out the Disney trivia every year and just get disapproving looks in response lol however a Christmas quiz that just happens to include Disney I may be able to get away with!
Kaya I feel for you, if it's group meetings I'd come in later in the morning, if it's a one-on-one I'd politely reply changing the time saying it's not within your usual working hours.
Had such a palava at Moorfields, it was good-ish news but got there at 3 and left at 7 so didn't get home until 8.30 :| then had an almost disaster with the Boots delivery being left behind the back gate and it raining all day onto the cardboard, think it was about 10 minutes away from seeping through and ruining a ted baker bag :O
Free I got the votives and realised I already had 2 of them :| candy cane was one so don't mind but then had snow in love that we received for our engagement last year and it's a huge one that is pretty much for decorative purposes only lol
My voucher code email came through this morning saying early bird Christmas special :D BuyaGift have 25% (VCOCT25) today only it includes spa days/ gift experiences if anyone is interested
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:

    Morning everyone!

Freespirit - She did like it really. And she had a good birthday so I'm happy. :)

You know that parcel from eBay I was waiting for? Well turns out they never actually sent it cause they are out of stock of the colour I wanted. But they are still advertising white as being available on the site. I've got a refund so I'm going to leave them negative feedback and order from another seller! And it means I've lost my £5 discount for my first order. :(

Hey noodles, I get my brother Axis Caviar Premium aftershave every year, it's a Paco Rabanne 1 Million imitation that is 90ml and only £10 from the perfume shop - as long as he isn't too brand-oriented it's a good reasonable MSE present ;)

I'm on a roll today- not for myself though- for mom for my BIL. He said he wanted to try an Isle of Jura single malt that's £50, I managed to get it for £45 fro Sainsbobs , but using a new customer code got his
Lindt chocs and a nivea set that he uses all delivered for £47! Moms pleased with paying that and I'm chuffed that I managed to save her some money. (code was £18 off a £60 spend).

I just used boots points to buy a cake fork set for DD that I know she will love, and used £8 from pinecone reward for a mi band (like fit bit only £9.72 instead of £50) It gets excellent reviews on HUKD and I only paid £1.72 actual cash. That's for DD BF. Its all a bit more towards the ever growing pile of presents stopping me getting into my side of the bed!!

ellie- I have recently discovered the perfume parlour.co.uk, they sell oud oils. My DS has VERY expensive tastes and his fave is Creed that's £135 for 30ml!!! I brought him a 10ml roll on from the perfume parlour for £6.50 delivered and he is amazed that he cant tell any difference between that and the original (and he is very very discerning believe me!!). They have hundreds of perfumes and male scents on there, might be suitable for any male as 'tasters' of different fragrances? I intend to get him a few for his stocking so he can wear a different scent every day without breaking the bank. I am wearing a Tom Ford scent at the moment that I put on this morning first thing and its still smells lovely, Just an idea for male relatives/friends maybe?

Freespirit I'm looking forward to Christmas like everyone on here! :D My birthday is before Christmas (another early baby - was due end of February) but being an only one and living in an all adult household means that Christmas is not the same any more!

There are no young children in the extended family, the youngest being 8 going on 18! :rotfl:
