  • free - I'd be ecstatic if someone offered me leftover wrapping paper! Your DS must have earned himself a place on the nice list - Father Christmas is always watching after all :D

linz4383 - That sounds like my ideal day! Can't wait to have my first hot choc of autumn!

MoneyMission2015 - £500 in vouchers is amazing, I admire the patience it must take to collect them (and the willpower to not use them!)

doodygirl - I put some Christmassy candles/room spray in my 1st December hamper so we could use them all through December, and I second the book idea! This year I might also include some festive tea towels (saw some nice ones at this thread's very own paradise, Matalan) and maybe one of those nice jars with all the layers of cookie ingredients for some pre-Christmas baking (like these) - very Pinterest! I also put a bauble in there ready for tree decorating.
  • Doodygirl- for the last couple of years there's been an argos 3 for 2 on toys around my birthday, 22nd September and a second one just after my daughters birthday 3rd November because she always gets extra toys when she goes to spend her birthday money. Hth.

  • Evening all 😊hope everyone is well. Done a bit more Xmas shopping today and I think apart from a dvd each the kids Xmas stockings are finished. Still got some specific presents that I need to get for them then I can start on everyone else!

Done a bit more Xmas planning over the weekend too by booking the local panto and will book the local santa express when it goes live on Wednesday.

Have looked at the Matalan site myself and seen so many things I want. Must resist, well for now anyway.

Springdreams I love the bedding! I've saved your post to show my DD. She has a tree and some little decorations in her bedroom so she might like some bedding to go with it ;)

Christmas is currently on hold here due to work and decorating. I daren't go looking on websites either as I don't have the money to spend just yet. I have run the idea of a tin of sweets past DD for her dads side of the family, 3 households to buy for so I think thats a safe bet ;) Ex and his wife still and my side I'll keep thinking about. DD comes up with great, but expensive ideas :rotfl:

However the weather is definitely making me feel more wintry and I'm looking forward to going Christmas shopping on the 25th with my daughter who has a teacher training day :D I'll have been paid by then :rotfl:
