wishing you all a very happy, healthy and fun filled 2015! been so manic it seems like Christmas came and went in a blur that i wasnt ready for!! hope everyone is well and had a good one - my NYR is to be here more and to be super well prepared for next Christmas! still doing full and part time jobs and my DD will be off to uni this year, had all but her 1st choice offers - shes had interviews for her top choice so now has to wait for a few days for their decision, gulp! dreading her going so need to get my head together on that!
so far Ive picked up some nice bits fm Sainsbugs sale, fluffy owl bed heaters and a Hello Kitty one, and some other bits, I managed to stock up my Yankee Candle festive melts for next Christmas half price too, so its a start! xxxx0 -
Happy New Year everyone.
Had a quiet day here. I could get quite used to these, shame I'm back at work on Monday.
Bought a few bits online from Debenhams today as they had an extra 10% off all items. Just hoping everything gets fulfilled. One of the items was low in stock and I ordered 3 of them as gifts. I've got a feeling that part of the order will get cancelled
Wrote out this years christmas budgeting envelopes ready to fill as the weeks go.
Have written out the new present list on my app.
Have also remembered to leave the stockings out so I can fill them throughout the year as I find bits.
Going to pop into town tomorrow to pick up a shelf from Argos for the downstairs bathroom. The one I had in there I re-used above the hot drinks station. I found one in the sale for £7 which will do just fine.0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Well we started to take our Christmas stuff down todayno-one was happy doing it lol.
The tree and crib will be staying up till the 6th but the rest of the decorations came down today. Some have went into a 2nd hand shop bag, and things that haven't been used in years have been added too.
I can now see my bedroom floor again too :T Got it all sorted/binned/put away or put in the donation pile, and will take the donations stuff down tomorrow so it doesn't find it's way back.
My new years resolution has went to pot alreadyFrom today I was supposed to be going out on my bike again and stick to it, also do a bit more exercise on the Wii............ well my asthma and chest infection have had other ideas
Can't even lie down without having a fit of coughing ATM
Bought another few Christmas presents on the Boots website today - their Jack Wills sets went half price, and even got the Mens Big set for £22 or something :T So got 3 of those for birthday presents and one for a Christmas present next year.
I have started my saving pots today though. £2 has already went into the pot, £10 has went into another one for tomorrow, and have set aside 2 x£1 for my tesco coupons this Saturday
I WILL save money this year, and NOT spend money on stuff I don't need.

Happy new year everyone!Happy new year _party_
We had a nice night in the house. Had some nibbles and some cava. We were in bed not longer after the bells.
I have a lovely big steak pie for dinner today. I was considering taking the decorations down today, but I think I'll do it tomorrow. One more day to feel like Christmas will be nice.
My kids are just fighting all the time. My lovely little girl has turned into a 9 year emotional horror! It's her who instigates it all. If she is out the younger 2 play and get along lovely.
She was such a nice little girl. Would do anything for you, kind, caring and sweet. But in the last year she has changed. Always crying, telling on others, arguing, giving me cheek and 'the look' . It's breaking my heart and bringing me down. I know they change as they grow. But I want my nice girl back :-(
I can see Influences from friends kicking in. Her friends are nice on their own but together they are different. Always so catty to each other.
My resolutions is to carry on woth Slimming world and keep losing weight. I also want to keep the house tidyier so if folk appear at the door, I can let them in lol.
I also plan to take a course of some sort to try and get a better job. Not sure what though x
It's so difficultgirls seem to be so catty at times and I'm sure it's not something you want your younger ones exposed to. Have heart that if you remain firm she will come out the other end.
Thanks for the fridge wishes! Sadly the freezer packed up last night too :rotfl: I have my mot tomorrow, so let's see if it's more bad news!
I spent yesterday evening filling in my Christmas planner, well the card and gift recipient bits. I can highly recommended it! I Have had apps, but find they don't motivate me like pen and paper (probably why I sill have a filofax). I now know that the budget totes up to £255 for all the people (not including dh) that we need to buy for. It seems like a lot, so this year will be spent bringing it down.
If anyone is interested, the planner is here;

Now that is a bargain! Mine is an A5 pink leather one that I had from my MIL in 2008 for my birthday. It's a tradition that she now buys me the next year inserts for one of my Christmas pressies.
Welcome Lizzie! We are a mad bunch, but very friendly
Well DH bought me a paper chase album for Christmas and I planned to fill it with all our memories from 2014. I spent the afternoon going through all our photos and my Facebook statuses for last year. It was lovely and it made me realise just what a lovely year it actually wasI've written it all at and selected my photos, I now just need to sparkle it up and then print and stick! I hope to do this every year

As most of you know I haven't been on here for quite a while. Just had a look at the 'New Threads'. Can anyone please tell me where the usual 50 'Boots Sale' threads are ? It's just not the new year without them !!!! :rotfl:0
