quidsy I love the idea of a cottage at Christmas! It's definitely something i'd like to do in the future. I hope you get to do it next year.
Hello kaymumof3 :hello:
freespirit yes we always find a random decoration still up months later! I wonder what it's going to be this time?
I didn't know Nectar were halving the points?? I do miss adpoints. We don't shop at Sainsburys much, we get online deliveries from Tesco and we signed up to a delivery saver scheme a couple of months ago as we regularly get deliveries and are currently paying £3 a month for any delivery slot.0 -
In terms of my new years resolutions, I always aim to be healthier but it's always a challenge! We have a Tesco shop coming this morning full of healthy food so i'm going to make a start! But there are two main things i'd like to achieve this year:
1) Make/do at least one thing on my Pinterest boards a month - time to start doing instead of just pinning!
2) Cook one meal a week from my recipe books/folder. I have 30 cookery books (slimmed down as I got rid of some last year!) and a couple of folders full of recipes that I pull out of my Good Food magazine every month. I want to ensure I am using them and not just flicking through them every now and again. I have been doing this for about a month so want to continue, this weeks recipe is American buttermilk pancakes, a recipe from a Rachel Allen book.
I'd love to hear everyone else's (if you have any) and it would be great to hear everyone's progress throughout the year.0 -
Morning all, hope everyone is well.
Managed to pick a couple of bits up in Sains local last night they had rtc,ed the gifts so I got a lovely water bottle in knitted cover for £3 and a set of knitted hand warmers for £1.50.
Going for a walk down coop later to get bits for tomorrow's dinner - all family round. Will see if they have any rtc bits to put awaySPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon everyone. Just popping on incase I don't get on later on.
I'm still not well unfortunatelyThe joys of being asthmatic, having a chest infection and a week's waiting list to see the doctor
I'm feeling a bit more energetic though so am off to start the clear out of rooms. Mainly my own room to start with. I'm determined to keep at least some of my New Years Resolutions and one of them is to keep this house clutter free!!
So I'm off to put a film on up in the bedroom and make a start while OH and the kids watch James Bond down here lol.
If I don't get on later on I want to wish each and every one of you a Happy and Healthy New Year, and see you next year:eek: xxxPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
nicki love the windows well worth the time and effort involved. what paints do you use? would love to have a go next yr as used clings again this yr but they never seem to stay up long.
I just use the normal kids poster paint that you buy in bottles. The stuff that washes offIt'll take 2-3 coats of paint to get it fully opaque, don't paint right to the bottom of the window as condensation will cause it to run, and if you have nets that touch the window DON'T put them back up at the window until the paint is fully dry or you'll end up with impossible to remove stains on the nets like I have
My resolutions are the normal eat better, exercise more, loose weight and pay off debt :rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

KAYMUMOF3 hi and welcome to our thread, wow those duvets were a fab bargain, and what a great start to next christmas
Oh Free spirit, I hope you don't come down with somethingI've managed to leave out the gingerbread man biscuit barrel after I packed all the other Dec's away earlier lol
Hugs to those that need them!
Lovely to see both nana and omo posting
Well it's been an expensive few days. Yesterday morning I poured the milk into our morning cuppa only to find it had turned to cheese! A quick check of the fridge found it was warm to the touch! All our Christmas and party food was ruined and had to be binned. We saved up 5 years ago to buy a bosch fridge as we thought it would last a while. 5 years considering how much we paid does not seem good. The repair man was booked up until the 5th and so we had to go out and purchase a table top fridge. If the repair man tells us it is going to be more than £150 to fix, we will have to buy new as I'm scared something else will go wrong.
The car is due an mot and the wiper strut has broken off. I'm loathe to pay to get it fixed for the mot as I have a feeking it will fail on some other bits and then we will have to decide if it's worth the repairs or scrapping. When it rains, it pours :rotfl:
I hope everyone has a lovely New Years Eve. We are going to enjoy a quiet one in front of the T.V. I will probably be in bed before midnight lol[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
