  • Well, that was a beautiful natural light & sound show last night! Air feels so much better today.

Another huge advocate of Costco, need to go soon, got to take some Birkenstock sandals back, no idea where the receipt is, think it may be at work for claim I made that was work related, but it is not really an issue.

Ordered some tissue wrapping paper last night, vivid red, well it is for Christmas! Will use to wrap the coasters & if I do it properly, will be able to just use a single gift sticker to keep together, plan on doing it in envelope format. But I am not naturally artistic, so may use some newspaper to do some practice runs!

Really need to update my lists, bought jackets for my nephews but no idea what to get for my 15 year old niece, well at least I have time to think about it. Had my friends indoor herb garden delivered this week, better hide it as she is coming to me on Friday, going into London for breakfast on Saturday morning, then to the Sky Garden at Fenchurch St, Wicked matinee, need to do something after that, then dinner. The only thing she knows about is theatre, rest is surprise so need to think some more.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

You shouldn't need the reciept for costco. It'll have a record of your purchase because of the card.

I love Wicked-hope you both enjoy it. How about a boat trip afterwards? I'm sure Days Out Guide has offers on for the hop on and off tour.

Had a BBQ this afternoon and now I'm totally stuffed! Trying to raise the energy to go and feed the neighbours cat, but it's upstairs and I'm so full...:o

Happy Sunday everyone, glad to see new names, and old friends posting. I need to re read and then comment, as l am still in a real life fugg, and am retaining nothing in the little grey cells.
DD really thought all her benefit problems were behind her, but on Friday she got a letter telling her that DGS was no longer entitled to free school meals. however that was quickly sorted out with one phone call and a lovely lady on the other end of the line. Fingers crossed that she can now start to move forward. l can start to plan the visit to china end of this month eeeek. and wont have the worry of her on me.
Garden is looking good, and the greenhouses have toms courgettes peppers, chillies and some baby cuttings of perennials rooting. My lovely neighbour has said she will look after everything for me while l am away.xx
On Friday night a policeman went to my other neighbours house (about 9 45) got no answer, -l only saw them as l was closing the blinds ready for bed- l knew they were away at their caravan for the weekend . Should l have told the pc that? or should l have phoned my friend? l did neither, as l didn't want to worry her and spoil her weekend, but she may think l didn't care about her and should have told her. what do you think? She will be back this evening, and l will tell her then, but.......
Waiting for Skype to get my 'bring with you list' and to talk to the grandnibs, school finished over a fortnight ago for them, so they are likely to be bored by now! Need fresh cup of coffee, be good, no, be SPECTACULAR all. xxx

Afternoon everyone, i didnt get on last night as i went to DD2s to babysit Thumper, her and her OH had been invited to a BBQ and she didnt want to ask anyone to babysit as felt it was too much after having him in the week so i just turned up and made her get ready and go, she needed to just get out and have a good time, being summer and all the windows open i forgot how quiet and sleepy living in a village is, it seemed so noisy over there all night :D

PENNYDROPPED yes they have complained but i dont know what has happened :o i am totally in agreement with you about Costco ours is 10 mins away and we dont go as often as we used to, because like you say i would wander around and end up spending a fortune on things i thought were wicked but that i didnt really need ;)

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY we totally missed out on the storm :( but apparently did have a fantastic lightening display, as usual i totally missed it :D

MRSINVISIBLE hope you had a good skype session, grrr to the blooming parking ticket , i am afraid i would say nothing, just in case it was something urgent that they needed to be told, then no one can be upset, but that is typical me LIBRA keep things balanced all the time, dont upset the apple cart as they say :D

i agree with the advice free has given you, but I would be worrying that I should have spoken to pic and/or rang friend but would be mor worried I'd spoil their hol so would keep quiet, no one knows you saw pic and it's not like he knocked neighbours and asked for their whereabouts.

Hope all are well. Got a couple of lovely gifts at the boot today lady selling brand new wrapped and boxed leather purses only £2 each, and got a brand new still packaged picture frame that holds up to 50 pictures so it's a storage box and display frame in one for children's art work, lady wants £1.50 which I happily paid. They are £30 on Amazon.
