At my local pound shop, they are selling things 2 for £1. I don't see anyone complaining that every item should be £1 and any other price is breach of trades description blady blaaa

or of course does it only work one way?
Because the line item is two units, and hence the purchase is £1.

If that is the case, then it could be said that a bigger item for £20 is several units combined.

It is simple, people either want a shop that has a strict policy of everything is £1 no more and no less or they want the occasional bargain where something is sometimes more than £1 and is a bargain or 2 or 3 for £1.

I am happy to pay £8 for something that would be a lot more expensive elsewhere.

An ottoman isn't 8 items combined.

our local poundland has 2 offers at the moment

'Spend £3 and get an Otterman for £8' and 'Spend £3 and get a 12 pack of Duracell batteries for £3'
Two large A1 posters in the window and various other posters etc. throughout the store.

Batman could have otterman in a fight.
  • The batteries are a good bargain. Ottermans for anyone who don't know what they are are good for storage and for putting your feet on.
