Today is a Bank Holiday

My contribution based JSA was not paid today, it was paid late last time it was due, and I got those idle people at the JC to sort it out. Apparently the system set up does not like Joint Claims, on the new pad system. Was assured after their flock up on 11th December 2014, it would not occur again.
Well, it has! Due payment today, not received. And lo and behold, it appears that Civil Servants have an extra Bank Holiday, unlike the rest of the populace.

Oh the irony of someone on JSA calling JC staff idle.0

I used to work for MoD, so was a civil servant, and we got a 9th public holiday. I think it was for the Queen's birthday, but was taken on a day determined locally. Memory is not what it was, sorry. We also used to finish at midday on Maundy Thursday.

Yet another idiot.
What part of contribution-based is difficult for you to understand?
Perhaps you've been fortunate enough to have never been unemployed? (I count myself in that group - I have almost been unemployed before but always managed to work something out).
Or perhaps you are a student and you've never been employed (other than part-time work during your studies)?
Either way - DON'T BE AN OBNOXIOUS @RSE!0 -
To be fair, there may have been more sympathy for the OP if they had phrased their post better.0
