It is called coming to an arrangement with said and laying cash this Saturday. Not bad that. 4 weeks unemployed. And skating that out. And looking. For a job as well!
But hey. Your suggestion of a pay day loan. Brilliant.
And what exactly have you done today based on the fact that you are now going to fail on your promises to the mortgage company? Absolutely nothing. And yet you're quite happy to call the staff who have no choice but to be off work today idle!
You've had ALL day to look into many different options (some of which I laid out in my post), and yet you have done absolutely nothing. You haven't even phoned the mortgage company who may very well have sympathised and allowed you a few days leeway on your next payment.
Payday loans are not ideal, I know that, that's why I listed it as the absolute last resort. Personally I'd much rather take out a payday loan than have my home repossessed, but if it were me in your situation I'd be more likely to be found in the queue at CeX selling my laptop instead of using it to moan on forums.0 -
Because it might stop you having a blackmark on your financial records? Has your wife not come up with some ideas?0

That there is a financial shortfall which has been out of your control and would they be prepared for the payment to be made by the 31st December?0

Carry on wayward son. I will sell the laptop in the morning. Thanks very much for your positive contribution.
May I suggest you advise me who will be open tomorrow morning to effect this transaction and male it possible, on Saturday to pay, in cash my mortgage.0 -
Well you posted about this at 11:35am, so had about 6 hours to go to a pawn shop and collect as much money as you could. If you really cared about making the mortgage payment, you would have looked at all avenues, been proactive and contacted your bank etc. Rather than do a woe is me.0

This. I'm quoting because it's worth repeating.0 -

Why should I have to pawn an item just because the DWP has failed, with a 100% record, to pay my CB JSA twice. Why should I after contacting my mortgage provider, 13 weeks before benefits are due pay the interest that I am current in difficulty, that the DWP has flocked up again. Any realistic suggestion iz welcome.0 -

So that you can keep your house?
Pawning items wasn't the only option you had, although at 9.30pm on Christmas Eve I think the ship has pretty much sailed and there's not a lot of options left. At 11.30 this morning you could have been talking to the mortgage company who may have allowed you to make your payment on 31st, but I guess we'll never know now.
At least when your home is repossessed you can take comfort in the fact it wasn't your fault...0
