Because these are things that you can be in control of, you are not in control of the job centre opening before the mortgage payment is due. Needs must.0

Do you want my address do you can bid on it tomorrow. You'll not want to miss a flocking bargain there, would you? Would you offer 75% of face value. I could talk to my mortgagee on Saturday bout thus. We'll even cut out the middle man. That old sAve you the solicitors bill.So that you can keep your house?
Pawning items wasn't the only option you had, although at 9.30pm on Christmas Eve I think the ship has pretty much sailed and there's not a lot of options left. At 11.30 this morning you could have been talking to the mortgage company who may have allowed you to make your payment on 31st, but I guess we'll never know now.
At least when your home is repossessed you can take comfort in the fact it wasn't your fault...
Correct o flocking mondo.Because these are things that you can be in control of, you are not in control of the job centre opening before the mortgage payment is due. Needs must.
oh yeah. Mind me who is at fault here?Exactly, if he had done this, he couldn't have blamed someone else.....0 -
So, have you made your wife aware of this?0

Let me try to seek clarification,
You were not paid on the 11 Dec and were told that a payment ,including arrears from 11 Dec would be paid to-day. But no payment was made.
Tell me when did you tell DWP about the non payment of the 11 Dec?
Did they not arrange an interim payment to be made before 24Dec
From the tone of some of your posts I am amazed you did not create more of a fuss after the first non - payment and at least try and get some interim payment from them.
I may be wrong but I am surprised that someone in theJC did not try for an interim emergency payment, but there again perhaps your attitude to Civil Servants came across at your interview.0 -

No thanks. I already have a laptop, and if I were to buy one I'd probably wait for the January sales and have it delivered.
Don't tend to buy items without an sort of description anyway, especially when the delivery option is to to drive God knows how far to collect myself and then administer a mortgage payment rather than just paying the person I'm buying from. And what's this about a solicitor's bill? Smells like a scam to me.0 -

Well, it has! Due payment today, not received. And lo and behold, it appears that Civil Servants have an extra Bank Holiday, unlike the rest of the populace.

Ironic start to that post. A worker being classed as idle by someone living off the worker's taxation.0 -
I don't think you were the only one not paid. There was someone in the bank complaining they hadn't been paid either.

No worries, that £7 will get the cat a tin, and me well flocking slaughtered won't it!
you could eat very well on £7 for a few days but if you choose to spend it on animals and alcohol that is entirely a matter for you. But please try to understand why you may not receive as much sympathy as you perhaps wanted or expected. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
