Just checked my emails. My Boots order from 7 this morning has been partially despatched. 2 items at £3 each. Guess what isnt coming. The Mark Hill Weekend Set. Grr

I agree Boots are overpriced in the first place but I guess the 3for2 pre sale is factored into their prices.
Even at half price some of the stuff is still overpriced so no wonder people wait. The thing I like with Boots though is the quality of their gifts unlike some of the tat on the highstreet!
I saw ine bloke y'day who had a large blue bag full of the cute or what pack of 3 lip balms which seemed a bit of a random thing to sell on but I guess they wouldn't cost much to post and could probably double or treble his money quite easily.
Or maybe they were for charity shoeboxes or raffles? (Or maybe not!!)

This has been a disappointing year for me. I was online at 4.30 a.m. yesterday and ended up so stressed with my basket continually being emptied that I abandoned the idea! Went down to the local branch just before 8.30 with DD, expecting to find a queue and there was only one other lady waiting!! The doors opened and in we went, to find one shelf of sale items! Nothing much I wanted but DD managed to get a lot of the little items she wanted to put away as teacher's xmas and end of term presents. Plus presents for Brownie and Rainbow leaders and kids birthday party gifts! With 3 children she needs a lot of little gifts and on that score she did quite well. Sadly, for me, it wasn't worth the effort this year.

This year the Cheshunt branch wasn't that busy. I noticed there were no Boots no 7 sets! Are there fewer around?!

I didn't notice much in the way of No7 either - certainly no women's OOTW box too be had - did see a couple of the £45 mens No7 sets though.
Saw a few of the smaller No7 sets; nail varnish sets and the little star tins with a nail varnish in but v.dark colours so didn't appeal.
I find No7 a bit over rated myself but that's just me....

I went to the Oxford city centre store last night and the sale aisles were a MESS!!! What causes people to rip open packaging to look inside gift sets? Can they not just read the label to see whats inside?!! EVERY one of the big soap and glory kits were open with items missing, ripped packaging and damaged boxes, there were empty bags where stuff had been stolen and I just can't believe people think this is acceptable. One lovely staff member helped me "re-make" a soap and glory kit, ensuring that I had all ten items and that the box and packaging was put back on and not damaged. She described the customers early in the day as savages!!!:rotfl:

The Jack Wills big bag is still available online (not tempted for myself though), and I have managed to get the Sanctuary big box of TLC thru the checkout now (been very glitchy for days), paid with points and having it delivered to store

I can't get it to pay with points - it keeps saying I need 2500 points, which was the original price. May be worth checking that you were only charged 750 points??
