A big thank you is all I can say.
I got myself down to Boots at 9am sharp and found the shop a little busy! There were people with several baskets filled to the brim. I managed to bag myself a bargin or two. I bought...

nail varnish from £10 down to £3.60
2 lots of smellies both from £10 down to £3
Minnie lip balms from £5 down to £1.50
Socks for my husband from £8 down to £2.40
bistro lanterns from £10 down to £3
All in total I bought 10 items for £28.50 and saved £66.50

Totally disappointed this year. Not much Sanctuary items, just those little drawstring bags with minis, managed to buy 2, 1 damaged box of Boots Extract coconuty items (will do for filling a pamper basket) 1 pair slippers and a gift box of infusion oils...that was it.
Loadsa celebrity fragrance on shelves (not into it, and don't know anyone who might like it in my family) Hello Kitty items, bits of stationary, xmas cards and decorations..looked around and thought I'll give the rest a miss.
Usually would happily spend an hour or so browsing and putting things in my basket, but guess the best stuff was sold out when it was upto 50% off. Was there this time 30 Mins:sad:0 -
Big S&G was in stock online very briefly just now but as I entered my card details it must have gone out of stock again0

There was a small crowd waiting outside the Telford Centre store at 8.45. Everyone seems friendly- despite the aisles being quite narrow there was no pushing or shoving and I didn't see anyone stock-piling dozens of items to sell on Eb*y later.
Most of the Soap and Glory sets had disappeared from the shelves overnight - I had set my heart on one of the large £60 "Next Big Thing" sets for a treat for me, aswell as the smaller "Think Pamper" "Soap for the Best" or "Nail Call" sets for upcoming birthday presents, but there were none on the shelves, despite "casing the joint:rotfl:" the night before.
There were LOTS of S&G Eau-La-La sets, reduced from £16 to £4.80, aswell as S&G Onesies... £28?!!! Did anyone really pay full price for them?! I've bought better at Marks for half that! Even with 70% off they weren't moving from the shelves as quickly as other items.
Also lots of the smaller Sanctuary sets, Paul Frank socks and enamel mugs and gift wrap.
Lots of variety but anything half decent had disappeared in the first half an hour.
I predict that anything left after today is unlikely to move until the 90% sale.0 -

Well I'm kicking myself as I had it in my head last night the sale would start at 5am:mad: Had my alarm set for quarter to. Most of my basket had gone (1st time ever my basket wasn't deleted) but still managed to get a few things.
Got the JW Nail Polish sets x3
The big Jack Wills bags x4
S&G Big Boxes x3
Sanctuary Spa large set x1
Jimmy Jam pyjama sets x 3
The only thing that I really wanted and didn't get were the Beyonce purse size perfumes.
The other things I wanted I bought in the half price sale on Boxing day so I'm happy enough. That's Teachers and Classroom assistant presents sorted for June and next Christmas, and a couple of birthday gifts sorted tooPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
So after going with a specific list of what we needed for people for birthdays and Christmas this year, although I was better than last year (my first experience of the 70% off sale), I did buy a few extra things, oops! Some were things we wanted for ourselves, but the other few "extra bits" will just be stored away for a rainy day.
Peterborough Queensgate store had a good selection of things, MOUNTAINS of the large NOTHING BUT THE FRUITS S & G sets, there were still loads of them left when we left at 9.30. Total bedlam in there though, mainly polite while we were there, though the man who is there every year had his team there clearing shelves again, he was filling his third cage while we were there. Though we have heard the police were called after we left as two women were fighting in the store. Disgraceful behaviour and totally unnecessary.
I went to Peterborough serpentine green store at lunch time, I just picked up my usual desk calendar there plus a few small bits and bobs. Though there was a whole full aisle of perfume sets, Beyonce, lady gaga, katy perry, britney spears etc. Tip off for anyone who hasn't been yet.Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02
HF's B'card: £2468.00 0% until November '17 _pale_ £255 / £2524.00
HF's FD Loan: £5467.78. £918.72 / £6386.52
Total: £5376.62 / £15814.78 33.99%

I'm never sure which Boots to go to: Wellington Retail Park, the one near Sainsbury's or Telford Town Centre.
Speaking with mums at school, it seems that Shrewsbury had LOTS of stock but was very crowded and aggressive. All the good stuff went very quickly. Lots of children's bath sets left.
Wellington Retail Park: At 1pm there was just a handful of "Bleach" phone cases and other debris left. Apparently there was little to start with and according to the sales assistants was "hectic".
Did anyone go to Telford Boots nr Sainsbury's?0
