as i got to our local boots at 8.30, a car pulled up outside and two women struggled to get 4 trollies across the pavement full of all the remaining big s&g boxes and loaded them into the car. how nice of these 2 to remove temptation from the rest of us!! hopefully no one will be prepared to pay the prices people are charging on ebay.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

We got to Trafford Centre about 10.30. got everything we wanted, all Christmas pressies sorted. Lot of greed going on, I just had to laugh at the women who could not carry what they had bought. Obviously shop keepers. Thanks Boots.A watched pot always boils. :j0

Perhaps they are giving them out at homeless shelters....I doubt very much. If they are genuinely for gifts, fair enough, but its the usual debate of people trying to sell for profit.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I have to say I agree with a lot of other posts, though it was bedlam in the Queensgate store, it just didn't seem like last year, I think the shine has gone from it for a lot of people (I even had to force myself to go this year). I also agree about the original price of boots goods being too high presale. Who would pay £7.50 for a not-that-special mug!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02
HF's B'card: £2468.00 0% until November '17 _pale_ £255 / £2524.00
HF's FD Loan: £5467.78. £918.72 / £6386.52
Total: £5376.62 / £15814.78 33.99%

Not everyone who buys lots of items is selling them for profit.
I had lots of looks and a few snide comments today as I had 5 large soap and glory sets and 4 large sanctuary sets (there were lots in our store) amongst lots of other things, I actually shop for myself, extended family and co workers who are not able to get to store. Please don't tar everyone with the same brush.0 -
evening all!!!
I would like to say meadowhall was a crazy place today!
To say I go to the sale every year I was disgusted today!..BUT
To the lovely ladies that I did chat too and that worked as a bit of a team that did make it a little better by passing things down to others, not being greedy, helping by watching each other baskets and asking when they were near items if others wanted things passing...A HUGE THANK YOU!!!
To the others that were not so helpful I can only say you all ruin what could be a more civil, nice experience!2013 wins...angry birds knex.0 -
Nothing really.
I have to admit that this is the first year I have given the 70% sales in store a miss as last year it was not a pleasurable experience with people blocking isles and being rude except one lady who for me redeemed the day with her hepfulness and our joint quest for just two or three cut price toys.
I understand the sales. I rarely buy full price but am not prepared to fight over some makeup I think my niece would like. I also just seem to stock up on gift sets, because they are a bargain, and never get around to using them or giving them away so it is money wasted. I did think that the Ted Baker mini set I ordered should be put on EBAY for £35 just for a laugh and I could reduce it to £3.50 in the last hour but being the same as many others on here do not understand why people would buy at inflated prices with huge shipping?
I do hope all genuine shoppers got what they wanted and it helps spread costs throughout the year. Roll on next year eh?0 -
I,be just checked my online order status from this morning - its been despatched and appears to be everything I ordered (I checked out at 5am and opted for delivery to store).0
