  • Been to family for Sunday which was lovely, always tastes nicer when you don't have to cook :T

And my auntie gave me £20 to get my little boys stair gate :j so ordered that to collect tomorrow after I've taken him for his needles :(

Hi, I just read through your thread and I wish you the best of luck with your journey. It's awful that you're having a bad time with house 3, especially considering who they are!
  • Thank you, me too

  • Took my little boy to have his injections today, so glad his Daddy came because I don't think I could have held him, I'm not good with needles :(

Then we went to get his stair gates and also git him a slide and paddling pool for the summer with the vouchers he had from his Grandad, really struggled with what to get him as he's only one so can't choose something

Resisted spending other than some toilet rolls and some paper for my printer (Christmas present :D)

  • We've had a good clean of the house today :D

Also put some potatoes in the slow cooker as a trial for when I go back to work next week, will be working full time over 4 days so will be out of the house most of the day so would be nice to have tea ready in the slow cooker a couple of days a week (my commute is 60 miles each way so a looong day!)

Trying to think of what to have for lunch at work without being able to cook as I know I'll get bored of sandwiches and I don't want to be tempted by the canteen - any :money: suggestions?

  • Looks like we have a leak today  but OH thinks he'll be able to fix it when he gets home so just a lot of wet towels to wash later after they've soaked up the water

Stew in the slow cooker ready for tea tonight, have some beef left over so need to decide what to do with that

Are you not a fan of cold pasta bakes or salads? They're the only things that come to mind unfortunately.

Sorry to hear about the leak though!
  • I love pasta, just not sure what to do with it when it's cold and I'm not really a fan of salad

Other half has said his New Years resolution is to eat healthily, he doesn't particularly need to loose weight but he is diabetic and needs to look after himself better (we have chips 5/6 times a week!) so I'm hoping to use the slow cooker wisely to get some healthier food into us and have it ready when I get back from work

    Happy New Year Everyone :dance:_party_

Been to the sales today, spent £2.80 on next years Christmas cards and bought a coat for £25 (reduced from £60) using some gift vouchers :D

Three more days off and then I'm back to work, feeling quite apprehensive after 13 months off

The other half wanted take away pizza last night but persuaded him to have a jacket potato instead :j

Also made a start on writing my will, need to finish that tonight

Off to take my car in for service this morning, hopefully all will be ok ready for the commute to work starting again next week
