Need some matchsticks this morning, the wind has been so noisy through the night so a bit sleep deprived, need to get going and fab up for my session at CS, the forecast is dire, so I think it will have to be windproof and waterproof before glam today. Probably black boot cut jeans, waterproof Ecco trainers, black roll neck and a purple boiled wool lightweight jacket, with appropriate scarf of course (eeeek no emoticons working for me). All zipped under a good layer of Goretex).

I hope everyone is dry and safe.

It's a bit on the wild side here but nothing compared to up north so we're lucky.

I like the idea of pale/pastel dress LL, something nice and floaty perhaps. I suppose what you need to be conscious of is that while pale and interesting is good, drained of colour is not. Maybe try a few dresses with make up on to see how you look. I've noticed Judi Dench wears a lot of floaty coats or her trademark pashmina with her red carpet outfits. However she does seem to have gained a few pounds recently. Are you planning to lose a bit more by the wedding?

I'm going into the city later. DH has a few errands to run and I might browse a bit and see if anything jumps out at me.

Feeling a bit heavier after Christmas food so maybe now isn't the time to be shopping for clothes!!:rotfl:

    Good morning lovely ladies

So far weather ok, a bit breezy and a few drops of rain but nothing much. I guess being So far from the coast has a few advantages at times.

Maman - I'm feeling decidedly podgy at the moment too and really lethargic. Problem is I'm not sleeping too well at the moment. I need to get my sleep sorted and then I'll feel a lot better. I had intended to to go for a mooch today but really can't be bothered. I don't actually need anything so I'll save my pennies.

Yes I definitely need to lose more weight. I've got 4 months so at least 1.5 stones, hopefully 2.

Not much news today. Just going to have a quiet day, pottering, a little walk but first a deep cleansing face mAsk, I'm feeling a bit dull and dingy. :rotfl:

maddie I feel shattered too. The wind was howling last night and I can hear it at work too. Normally London is quite well protected by the smog and pollution (well that's my theory) so I tend not to notice the weather too much.

Maman did you get anything on your shopping trip?

LL I hope you sort your sleep patterns out soon.

I'm pleased that this day at work is nearly over as I'm tired, but its been a quiet day in the office, so it hasn't been too bad. I made my lunch (pasta salad) but I ate it at 10:30am - I feel really hungry today. Luckily, I have some low fat snacks here at work, so I've also had some miso soup and a fruit bar, which should keep me going until I get home.

I also bought my Mum's birthday present today, as her birthday is next week and its a big one (60). She said she liked my make up bag and it was in the back of my mind to get her one for her birthday.... and they were reduced in the sale, so I have saved £15.

Also a bit podgy ATM. I am in a dilemma over wanting the new year to begin but not the whole circus of Work / home / friends / family juggle. And DD will go back to uni.

Also MiL is due here any time now and is staying until Monday. i am fond of her (I am fond of her, i am fond of her .....) but she can be difficult. She manages to be able to chuck cold water over any happy occasion (when DH's cousin was terminally ill, she said "Isn't it awful that we are having a lovely time on holiday when keith is about to die" - and :( and :rotfl: if you see what i mean), or being miserable about where she lives ("that place where I live - it's not home") and follows me around the house. But i must be charitable. it's Christmas.....

So come Monday I get back on the healthy eating. I think a lot of my niggly complaints are due to candida - so i am going on an anti candida eating plan. No sugar, carbs, alcohol......

OH needs to lose 3 - 4 stone but never does it right, so i am hoping that he will finally try paleo - which will fit in with my eating plan, so wish us luck...

    Hi fabbers:)
Sorry I've not been around much. Just wanted to take the chance to wish you all a Happy New Year, in case I don't get on tomorrow.
Hope 2016 is full of love, luck, happiness and joy for all of us x:A
  • Morning everyone and an early Happy New Year from me too :D

Busy making some resolutions for next year, starting with feeling a bit better about myself….. my twin boys are now 12 weeks old so it's time to think about losing some of the baby weight (2 stone), whether by returning to WW or doing it by myself, with the help of everyone here of course! I also desperately need to get back into my non-maternity clothes (currently in the loft!), and get measured for and buy new underwear. I must be the only person in the country to buy my own socks for Christmas!!

Hope you all have a great day getting ready for 2016, and a big 'well done' to everyone for their achievements in 2015 :T
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j
  • Hi all hope everyone has a great time tonight and happy new year for tomorrow, 2016 won't know what's hit it we will all be so fabby!
VJ you can always come on here and vent I'm sure no one will mind.
I've just started cooking for the meal tomorrow and still can't decide on what we are having for pudding  but whatever it is it's going to mean a trip to the shops.
I'm working on my New Years list and wondering if I should break it down into one thing a month to make it more manageable or if that's just me putting things off
konMarie and fabbing all the way

Just wanted to wish you all a happy New Year, hope everyone has a lovely evening.

This year has been... eventful, I suppose! Been feeling quite down about it, but this morning I stopped to reflect on all that I've achieved and I'm quite impressed with myself :)

I still haven't lost the weight and I think I look worse than ever, but I've been so busy that it just hasn't been a priority. So that's the plan for next year, lose some weight and start making a bit more effort with how I look. Nothing too drastic to start with, but more water and less coffee would be a good start.

Congratulations to everyone for all that you've achieved in 2015, and best of luck for 2016 x

    Happy New year's eve fabbers.

OH has been called into work, so is just me and the children today. I've taken the opportunity for some last minute fabbing, so the henna is in my hair and I'm just about to finish my pedicure.

This thread has been amazing for keeping me on track and I've had loads of 'you look nice' comments when I have dressed up, so for any newbies, I'd say it's worth sticking around. With that in mind, I think I will pop over to the weight loss threads to see if that helps with that side of things.
