Pleased to hear that date no 2 went well, indie If you like art deco, take him to Eltham Palace, which is run by English Heritage. It's a nice place to wander around for a couple of hours.

Funny you should mention that, when we were chatting first on line just over a week ago I asked him what his idea of a good day out would be, and his first reply was Eltham Palace, which I've been to twice before as well.

Anyway, we've planned to spend our mutual free time together over the festive season now (round both family commitments and his work - I am off till the 5th now) so some decent time to get to know each other better, enjoy some day trips and cosy times at home. Very happy. Hard to believe only a few weeks ago I was so sad about the ex. He really looks like a miserable, cold, tight-fisted git by comparison now!

indie you should take him to eltham palace as I don't live too far away and can check him out. Haha - I'm just really nosy. I'm so pleased for you.

I found eltham palace to be interesting, but not for the art deco, more so for wandering into someone's home and its so much more personal. I have an archaeology degree and I think that the past really comes alive when you have stories and items belonging to individuals. When I walked into the hallway, I remember thinking 'oh, how the other half live'. Then, I went into the bedrooms and saw how sparse and lacking in possessions they were compared to how we live now.
  • Good Morning Lovely Ladies

Well now here we are, Christmas Eve already......

I'm all shopped out, the fridge is stocked, the cupboards are full, the tree is up, I'm ready to go, Christmas outfits sorted........

Just a quick tidy up and then it's time for some pre Cnristmas pampering.

I bought some Olay "sunshine" yesterday but other than that nothing for me. Mainly food and a Few extra bits - still spent a kings ransome at Sainsburys though...:rotfl:

Never mind, I won't have to buy much in January.

I have quite a lot of Boots Advantage points and Nectar points so I shall look forward to treating myself to some new makeup and pampering goodies in the sales.

Hope you all have a wonderful time.

    Merry Christmas Everyone. XXX

    Don't forget ......

    Carry on Fabbing. :rotfl:

    Merry Christmas to you all.

I'm about to go to bed, having finished a few last minute presents to wrap.

Does anyone plan on dressing up for Xmas. I never do, but I'll do hair and make up. I was going to wear to new courderey trousers, but I think I should wear something with an elasticised waist!!

Have a great Christmas everyone! :santa2:
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

  • Merry Christmas!

Last week I made the effort to go to our Xmas do. I discovered that I fit some of my old clothes again so I wore a lovely dress. I did my hair and makeup and for the first time in over a year I felt good about my appearance. :)

We don't tend to - we tend to wear jeans and a nice top/ jumper/ shirt - or a new one if one was unwrapped earlier in the day. I did do my nails last night, though and my hair and make up this morning and have my favourite set of underwear on :)
