    Happy Friday, folks.
I was told I looked snazzy in my skinny jeans and heels today, made me feel Fab to hear that. These particular jeans are my 'gauge' for knowing if I need to rein in the treats and re focus on the slimmer me again. Today they feel perfect so I'm happy with that.
Going to body pump at weekend, dreading the creaks afterwards haha! Will be worth the effort, it's been a long time since I've been up to it.
As Maman said about hair only growing to chin length, mine was the same and seemed to know it had got to my chin so stopped growing! Recently, however, it's been growing like crazy & is past my shoulders now. It's only taken 40 years to get it this long!! I'm enjoying experimenting with it, too. I'm going to look online for inspiration, thing is I'm rubbish at being girly so need to start with simple styles!
Hope everyone is having a fab Friday.
Oh, & Hello to Hannah, I'm new here, too. Xx

Hi everyone, I've just caught up with the last few days.

I've has a good couple of fab days so I'm feeling really positive. I think it's because my skin has improved over the past month. I have pcos, so I'm prone to spots, but my skin is dry and dehydrated, which, I think is causing my skin to produce oil, which is causing breakouts. Anyway, for the past month, I've been using the body shops oil in serum, which has made a vast improvement.

I have been wearing more make up (although very subtle), plus my hair is looking nice. I've spent today running around in preparation for ds' birthday parttomorrow. I wore my black skinny jeans and a t shirt -it wasn't the most glamorous of outfits, but I looked casual but well groomed, which is the look I'm going for.

In preparation for the party tomorrow, I've defiled my feet and repainted my toe nails - we are having a bouncy castle, so I wanted to make sure my feet look okay, in case I take my socks off.

    Good afternoon lovely ladies

Nice to see you are all keeping up the Fabbing and how nice to hear that you are receiving compliments....Compliments are good.:D

Well the Fibro clinic went well, I met with the nutritionist and I'm now ploughing my way through all the handouts and reading material she gave me.

This morning I have been busy pottering about and tidying up, I finsihed the mirror, it looks great, a nice softt grey. The new bedside chest of drawers has arrived so when DS2 gets a few minutes he will put that together for me. Then I shall have one last sort through my bedroom and rearrange everything. Just how many frayed bath towels do your need to keep for emergencies.:rotfl:

My size 18 jeans are now hanging off me so I had a bit of a trying on session but the 16s are still a bit small. I'll get there........can't wait to throw all my size 18s away. I will never go there again......

I've just given myself a manicure and am about to go for a walk, unfortunately the weather has broken. AppArently we are in for an "Arctic Blast" next week.

    Have a great weekend.

    Hello everyone :)

The sun is shining here, but it's a bit chilly and the farmers have been muck spreading so it smells awful outside! I'm having a nice day off today, catching up with Masterchef and doing a bit of fabbing. I had a nice salad for lunch as I'm trying to eat a bit healthier. I agree that planning is the way forward, if I have healthy snacks in or take packed lunches out with me I eat a lot better. I don't have the time or the cash for the gym atm, but I'm trying to make an effort to walk a lot more and I think that's helping.

In other news, I got a letter yesterday confirming that my interview last week was successful and offering me a place on the training course :D It doesn't start till June but I'm rather pleased.

I've got another busy week, so I'm trying to get as organised as I can, but I'm so tired!

Have a lovely week everyone x

    Congratulations on the course!

Well tan boots+black tights+teal dress didn't quite look right, so I went for black wedge boots instead. OH and I had a lovely time, really worth a bit of a splurge!

Today I went for the makeup lesson he bought me a couple of months ago. I learnt a little but as usual with these things they go a bit fast for me and the products are really expensive - Bare Minerals today - so I didn't buy any. What it did highlight though was that my face is very dry and I need to be better at moisturising it and perhaps even get a thicker moisturiser (I use a light Simple one).

OH and I have found a flat so it is time to start getting ready to move (hopefully at the end of May). This is a great excuse for me to purge my wardrobe. I am torn on a few things (that I've never worn - Pepperberry Shirts, a Next skirt) and I know I ought to get rid but can't quite bring myself to do it yet!

Yes, congratulations beluga. You seem to be doing really well lately.:)

Glad you had a good time DD.

Moving home is a great opportunity for a clear out. Personally I'd be wary of throwing out new things unless I really hated them or they would never fit. I'd focus on the well worn stuff or really unflattering.

Reading about your Pepperberry made me think about shirts. I haven't worn one in years. My DD2 was here the other day and DH complimented her on how she was dressed. She had a long shirt with camisole underneath then scarf, jeans etc. I think DH liked the flattering colour but it got me thinking about shirts. Anyone else wear them?

Make up lesson sounds fun but pleased you didn't make any expensive mistakes. I think you need to be firm with some of these demonstrators. What I do sometimes with expensive purchases I'm planning is get them to try another product on me and then buy what I intended all along. I had a demo from Bare Minerals but wasn't impressed. I thought it would be more natural looking.

I'm happy with Aldi moisturiser. I use the rich day cream called Expert although the basic day cream is fine too. It's cheap enough that if it doesn't suit your skin you can always use it up on knees and elbows.

    Afternoon Everyone.

It's another sunny day here today but there is also a definite chill in the air.

I had a long run this morning (8 miles) so my legs are feeling a little tired now! I had a long soak in the bath afterwards and have just finished doing my hair so feel a bit better. I'm now going to walk up to the Post Office to drop off our old BT vision box and Home Hub as we have upgraded to Infinity and YouView. I'm not at work till 7pm tonight so feels a bit like being on holiday having the full day to myself.

I'm quite tired though as I was up at 5.30 sorting out our hens. We've just rehomed the four oldest ones and got 4 new young ones. Unfortunately, they are being bullied so we are keeping them separated by a fence in the daytime and putting them together to roost at night. The 4 babies were all cowering in the coop too scared to come out so I had to reach in and get them and put them where they felt safe. I had hoped to stop getting up early to let them out since we had an automatic door opener fitted but it looks like I shall be up early every day this week keeping them safe! Hopefully, they will integrate in a week as I don't fancy being up at first light every day for too long.

I really ought to do some paperwork sorting this afternoon after my walk up to the Post Office. I keep putting it off but have a tax form to fill in and a few bits of filing to do.

Hope everyone is having a good day and feeling Fab.

    Good afternoon Fabbers

Just settling down to watch Pointless whilst dinner is cooking in the oven. I love Alexander and Richard, they have just the right brand of high intellect matched with silliness, they remind of my OH.....cat is crawling all over me because I'm typing and not Paying him enough attention.

Had a great day, went to Physio and I'm now nicely de-kinked....:rotfl: popped into Sainsburys and picked up a pair of smart navy linen trousers, sized 16... Wahoo. :D

    Not much other news.

Beluga - congratulations on the course. Great stuff.

I am going to start with the stuff I don't wear because I am not keen on it, rather than the stuff I don't wear because I am not sure of it! I am also thinking that rather than put my winter stuff into storage I will sell/donate/throw some of it as hopefully by the time it comes back out I will be considerably smaller.

8 miles - that's a long way! How long does it take you?

Well it's official - reference fee paid and application sent in. Had a bit of a wobble then "what if we can't afford it" but reminded myself that I quite like beans on toast and if that was all I could afford to eat I'd probably lose weight sharpish.

Unfortunately my emotions caused my bandwagon to spontaneously combust so I will have to start again tomorrow. :o
