Morning all. Everyone seems so tired but I suppose thats to be expected with all the lurgys and Christmas to deal with.
Today I would like to wipe all the interior doors (why can't people use the handles) and get the hoover extension under some of the furniture to get up OldDogs hairs.
But I will probably just have a relaxing bath and walk the dogs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Morning everyone, came home from work to find that Hubby at finished off the kitchen for me so that was a nice surprise, so todays tasks are playroom (the room where Santa left all his presents) and bathroom.
Also have 3 loads of ironing and another 2 loads of washing to do today.
Then tomorrow I can start on Flylady's schedule. So much easier when someone is telling me what to do. So glad I've found this thread, it's so inspirationalLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

Nooooo!!! Find him something else to do, anything, it really sounds like a bad idea. My DS wants to go to the pictures with 4 of his friends. He hasnt asked me yet but I suspect the next question will be can they all sleep over. Do you want to swap 5 x 14 year olds playing on the xbox on 2am with your 6 year olds?
Is it mean to say that only 2 of them can sleep over?
Going to visit parents today. If my father has woken up in a good mood, the teenagers manage to smile a bit and the dog behaves himself we might just be OK.0 -
Hi All,
I was thoroughly spoiled on Christmas Day, DS even made a cup of tea :rotfl:
We went ahead and had dinner with our friends and it was lovely and relaxed.
They had more bad news and we just wish we could take away some of their pain, an uncle passed away on Christmas Eve and another was rushed in and not expected out. As they say the only certainty in life is taxes and death:(
They went up North on Boxing Day to visit Mum and other family, so their girls came to us after finishing work and we had a buffet tea and DVD night.
Yesterday was a sales shop for a suit for DS, entire outfit including shirt and tie £71 and it was the suit he liked over a month ago but they did not have the trousers in his size:money:
No turkey left, so gammon with roasties and the works. DS's GF has asked if we can prepare extra veg to have bubble and squeak tomorrow.
She has hoovered for me and hung up some washing on airers.
S&S bathrooms as we have gone, kitchen is immaculate, only some ironing to do.
Off now to prepare breakfast, the last of some smoked salmon with scrambled eggs for everyone else. Yoghurt and fruit for me.
All the best
Hugs, spoons and sticks available. Please help yourself as needed

Really have gotten into a bad routine and so has the kids. I think abit of flying is called for today and head for a walk with Ozzy once the ice clears.

Kids' room dusted and walls washed
LR window sill was soaking wet so that sorted
Ground floor henried
1/2 towels washed and dried
Toaster de crumbed
Work tops cleaned
French windows cleaned
Does anyone know what will removed tea bag splash marks from emulsion (on wall around bin)?
A few presents rehomed upstairs0 -
Dancemum, we get tea and coffee splash marks near the dishwasher on the emulsion. I find a trusty wet microfiber cloth with a drop of washing up liquid 'fades' them to the almost-not-there level, which is such a vast improvement the rest can wait until I get the paint pot out.Better is good enough.0

Dancemum or use astonish paste if the paint is not a strong colour.
Visitors all gone so make shift table removed from LR and furniture back to normal which is nice.
DS3 and I went out for a brisk 30 minutes walk to get some fresh air (and head space).
Lunch done so I'm going to make a cuppa, feed kittens and have a HH tidy up in my bedroom the pot up some bulbs. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
