When I was waiting for mine to come I had several days in a row where I received no post at all, which is highly unusual here, so I phoned the PO to make sure they hadn't missed me out for some reason :rotfl:
Which reminds me, I'm still waiting to hear something from Barclaycard about my recent application, which I'm sure was well over a week ago now :wall:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Give Barclaycard a ring and find out? Only took them five days to turn me down.
I sent them an email and complained, I received an email saying, they where really sorry I was upset, and wanted me to apply again?
Looks like I have got the credit card after all, I told them about two loan companies who where going to stand as references for me because of my good payment history.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -

So in that case I can only hope that they're probably going to accept me as it's taking much longer, 10 days tomorrow in fact when I checked earlier
I wouldn't call them to chase it anyway, for one I'm not desparate for the card, although it would make life a little easier, and I also don't want to appear desparate for it"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to ask a Q to all who got provisionally accepted for the card on receipt of the proof of address! I decided to give it a shot at applying for the card even though id been turned down for a cap one card before!! Anyway to my surprise ive received a letter saying ive been provisionally approved and need to send the proof of address...
I was wondering, would it say on this letter if i need to pay a deposit or would it be on the next letter?0 -
If they are going to turn you down? They normally tell you with in a few days.
If you haven’t heard anything? Then you may get an agreement to sign in the post very soon
They just want to proof of your address, you should get sent an agreement very soon.
If they wanted a deposit they would have told you on the first letter.
Normally they do a credit check, and then send an agreement for you to sign.
They normally let you know about deposits straight away.
Once the agreement comes, sign it and send it back, within a week of sending it back? It should arrive.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
I had to sign the agreement then they sent a letter asking for a deposit, No address check though.0

Just called capital one.
Seems even though I paid cash over the counter at HSBC (the same bank as them) it takes 10 working days to clear, as they claim they can't detect how I paid.
Card should arrive by 11th July.
Anyone else who paid the deposit had a similar wait?0 -

You send the proof of address, then they will send you the T&C's to sign and return to them, and THEN you will get a letter to say whether you need to pay a deposit....
HTH
I was lucky, much to my amazement:j....I didn't have to send proof of id/address and didn't require a deposit...the card cam about 5 days after they received the T&C's back0 -
thanks everyone! Ive sent the proof of address so il just have to wait now:( ill be amazed if i dont have to pay a deposit but then im amazed i even got provisionally accepted, maybe my credit ratings finally improving0
