Hi,
I applied to Capital One a while ago and amazingly they have sent an aproval letter with the terms and conditions to sign.
Letter arrived on the 21st, returned the same day.
10 working days is up today,
I'm a bit unsure about calling them as they had declined many applications in the past, and if this aproval is a mistake don't want to risk it.
Does anyone know how quickly capital one are currently taking? or if you get a reply quicker if they need a deposit.
James

I crumbled and called them.
Another agreement was sent on the 3rd May,
Strange as I saw the postman empty the box 10 mins after I put the letter in, must have gone missing.0 -

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have just been upgraded from Classic to Premier and they said it would take 14-21 days to send out my new card.0

May I ask........how long did you have your classic card before they upgraded you?
Cheers
I used 08009525252 for Capital One...
With reference to talking to a 'real' person, i went thru the automated menu. clicked 'already received letter of confirmation', got the 21/28 days msg, then continued to hold, and was put through to an assistant....so 'don't hang up' after the message!!

My card didn't take that long fortunately....they received T&C back 'officially' on the Monday and I had card on the Fridaybut then my application seemed quite straight forward...no need to prove id or address, or a security deposit...much to my amazement! lol
Good luck!0 -
The person I spoke to was really nice and helpfull.
Sounds like they are busy at the moment, They must have dropped the bar a bit as the aproved me, (I've tried a few times with cap one)
I'm thinking my agreement has arrived but sitting at the bottom of a post sack.0 -

I had my a classic account with them from OCT 2002 (£200 credit limit), i made all the minimun payments (except once) and hardly went over the limit.
Ask them for a limit increase in DEC 2004 to £500... was declined.
Then in April 2005 they wrote me a letter saying that i can have their 'Premier Card' with a £600 credit limit

Hi
It took Capital One 2 months to get my card to me from applying
My mate applied 2 weeks before me and it took equal amount for his card to 'arrive' but it didn't, so he called to advise them, they sent another, this didn't arrive and now they say they've sent another ... still ongoing.
Funny thing is the PIN's arrive and other post from them but the cards never do (to-date).

Called them again today after the replacement agreement they sent never arrived.
Now they are saying they have recived the old agreement and they will decided in a day or so if they want a deposit.0 -
It took me two weeks to get my classic visa after sending back the contract.
I applied to capital over a year ago and was refused and then about three weeks later applied and got accepted.
They didn’t ask me for a deposit or proof of address and was given a £200 limit.
Capital one gave me the chance to build up my credit rating and be able to get approved for better cards in the future.
I’m going to keep my Classic visa and hopefully receive a better card from them soon.
My classic visa is my girlfriend and she doesn’t moan when I spend my money on me :-)I'm not poor i'm just skint0
