How Many Friends would you say you have?

I do have friends and people I'm friendly with. But since embarking on a career change and a degree on top I really haven't had much time to dedicate to friends. So even my close friends are not so close anymore.

I know it sounds corny but my husband is my best friend, so I do feel content with that to a certain degree, but I do worry that in a crisis, other than family I don't really gave anyone that I know for sure would drop everything for me, but I guess to an extent that's my own doing.

I think until you have had a real crisis then you dont really appreciate who your friends are. Just thinking that your real friends will support you doesnt always match with what actually happens, I have found.
Also people who are just casual aquantainces can surprise you.

I suffer from an unfriendly combination of crippling shyness, and resting !!!!! face. So anyone around me simply thinks I'm being silently judgemental and/or intensely psychotic.

Luckily about 5 people are over the initial impression and decided to get to know me and discover for definite that I AM judgemental, psychotic and generally nuts.

I'd say I've got 3 true friends. My wife and 2 guys I've known for years and years.

Everyone else is an acquaintance at best (including the rest of my family).

i am a pretty unsociable person, I like my own space and there is nothing better than getting home from work on a cold dark evening and getting into my jammies and cuddling up with the remote control.
I do have a couple of circles of friends who I do different things with - my table quiz team, my friends that I go to music concerts with etc. we all see each other regularly and have a drink/dinner together often.


However I have 2 people that I class as my go to friends. these are the people that I can talk to about anything and everything. all of us are able to pick up the phone to each other when we have had a hard day and have a cry over our relationships. I would be truly lost if I didn't have them.

I have more aquientences than friends, i don;t mind though as i have 3 really close friends its quality over quantity for me

If you struggle to make friends, and it makes you unhappy that you don't have any, then that makes me sad. I hated reading that.

I will talk to anyone to! But sometimes they look at me like I have two heads. I may come over as being too confident, when it is just a facade.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make any one feel sad. I am married with two adorable sons, and we are not hard up. Most would say I have everything, but friends are the one thing I have always longed for But I have a lot to be very grateful and happy about
