  • Ok on bit of a high now lol

Just got back from Mr T had a voucher for the huggies baby beginnings basket and as they have nappies 1/2 price i decided to take advantage ( my sister is due beginning of Nov, so getting bits as well to help her out) Well i went for that and the activia yogurt that i had Bzz voucher for. Ended up getting a few more bits had my 3 year old with me too all tills were full and i went pass a free self scan, have never used one before so thought would be easier did not have that many bits.

Put it all though got my vouchers all taken off with a bit of help came to about £20 in the end. Put my card in to pay and the system shut down  well i packed up the stuff and called the guy back that helped with my vouchers, he asked how much i had paid and whether i was in a rush, i looked at my son and said i could not be too long.

He told me i was in a rush then and to hold on he spoke to a supervisor and told her i was in a rush the machine went down and that it was only £20 so she told him to let me go then that the bill might of gone though or not and that was it i left the Shop. ( it wont of gone through the machine went down before i could enter the card details lol)

So all free other than losing a few vouchers which i can live with but the points ones my still go on.

    Hello peeps
Blimey, haven't posted for a couple of days as I've been busy and it's just taken me AGES to catch up with everyones posts!

I'm really pleased with myself.......went into Mr T's this morning and came out with 3 apples, 1 pear - total cost a princely 81p - I'm getting better at this lark! (well, to be honest, I also spent £7.71 on nappies at a third off - getting stock in for when the new grandbaby arrives, but that's a whole new budget area altogether :D )

Anyway, I only popped in to say a quick "hello" and "goodbye" as I'm off on me jolly hollies tomorrow - wish me luck with the food budget!

TEEDY23, I have to say.........Black pudding?????? - Gross! Repeat after me.....Yearnings should be resisted, yearnings should be resisted.....etc.etc

PURPLEGIRLUK1 - Welcome aboard and good luck

DLB - Welcome back - hope you had a good time.

Hopefully, I will report in when we get back......if I'm not too ashamed of my probable overspending :o

Oh dear I am not doing so well. :o

Me too...Think I ought to spend tonight meal planning. Really have overdone it a bit on the spending (those Mr T offers get me every time). Must also avoid co-op - it's only 5 houses away and murder on the pocket. Must find a way to give myself a treat out of the house without spending

Made a visit to Tesco today as I have got some good moc's for toiletries and need to stock up for the holiday -also nappies are on offer at 1/3 off which is a real saving so needed to get some as well as wipes - I did quite well although spent £28 but that includes big pack of nappies 6 packs of wipes and a bag of frozen chick breast - so thats another £28 spent but I hardly paid anything for the toiletries and I was really careful not to pick up the usual bits that I tend to do on impulse (I took a list and stuck to it - well almost) also the tesco own laundry liquid is reduced to £2 at the moment which is good so got 2 of them..

I would usually have picked up something for myself for lunch (and wasted a few quid) like sushi but i didn't and came back and made myself a tuna butty instead which was yummy as I did it with a baguette dh bought home from work yesterday (he runs a canteen) actually don't know if this is a tip, or if everyone knows this but i sprinkled some water over it and bunged it in the oven for just a few minutes and it was just like new again!!

Anyway will add my new total to my sig now...

what does moc's mean also how do I get my info at the bottom of the page in the signature part, would love to join you with my totals for August. Thanks

Added the pet food spends and realised what date it is and how much I've spent. I was planning on a farm shop meat spend this weekend but it may have to wait, would be for next month aswell might still go as concerned it'll be closed with the F&M problems, add some onto next months. Added problems at the mo are can't use oven until new one arrives on Monday which is how most of our meals are cooked, have had to get things I can grill/fry in a pan for the boys. I also need fruit and veg, like every week really, we can go through £20 worth easy a week so this will eat a chunk of the budget if I can't get it somewhere on offer or something.

Oh bother, I've done well since December last year coming in under target (spending under half what I used to) so I'll not be too bothered if I overspend when I was trying to cut it more over the hols, probably a stupid idea.

Meal plans on tomorrows list to do, just going to go through freezer stock list, might do it now actually.

    DLB welcome home

Angelraesunshine - well done, what a result!

Tracey04 MOCs = Money Off Coupons. Some supermarkets take them for anything you're buying as long as they sell it, some, like where I live, don't
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
