"nipped" to Tesco for a few bits - I'm now £11.00 lighter Grrrrrrrrr!:o

Getting a bit worried about how I'm going to feed us all next week when we're away. To stick within budget I reckoned on spending about £50 for the week for 4 adults and one "wee one". (DD, SIL and nipper are coming with us!) Unfortunately I've overspent a bit on the plan so far and may need to trim that back a bit!

Still, it's our hollies, so I don't want to spend the whole week scrimping......I think we'll just play it by ear and if I overspend then we can always starve for the last 2 weeks of the month :D:D .....OH thinks I need to lose a bit of weight anyway :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Tesco shop done at the weekend - came in at £84.89 - this should last the week. Need to do a storecupboard inventory though as some of the cupboards look full to bursting!!!

On a better note......did a family birthday tea for my DS on Saturday (he was 7) - managed to only spend £30.30 including some wine & beer - was well impressed with myself!!!! Have not included this in my August grocery challenge as it came from the 'kids birthday' budget!!!:j

had to go to asda today as I wanted to get some nappies in in advance of baby arriving, and a tin of emergency formula. And calpol for DS who has chicken pox. All in all I spent about £20  Hope this little'un takes well to breastfeeding, its so much cheaper LOL

Found a cauliflower in the cupboard (as you do) so that will do for a curry with potato and frozen peas one night, with half a jar of curry sauce thats in the fridge, so now I don't need to go shopping til Saturday either. Stocked up on milk today as well.

If I shop on Saturday it means I get to go on my own :T as hubby can stay with kids, and then it is only 9 days til payday so I reckon I can still do it to budget :j .
    Will update sig now.

getting really sneaky now. Had to but milk, bread and meat for sandwiches. Went into Tesco on the way to work bought 2 bottles of herbal ess shampoo, 2 tubes of Mc Cleans toothpaste and aforementioned bits. Paid for most with coupons leaving me with £2.23 to pay, sold toothpaste to a girl at work for £1 each so leaving me out of pocket by 23p, needs must when the devil drives.

Me three :D my gob has never been so smacked :D.

Order from Mr T due tomorrow, should be around £73 excluding special offers. We had our hall, staircase and landing carpets cleaned yesterday. He charged £82 and he did a really good job. My DW is well pleased. DS3 moved the freezer for me and I did most of the remaining clearing out so as to leave a clear space for the cleaner. It's amazing how much stuff you can get into one hallway . Now I've got to put it all back again. Oh my aching back, Sigh!!! Need some TLC :D.
