Natty you poor thing; make everyone else fly around while you sit and heal.
Pigpen hope things improve for you too.
Well Mr Narc0lepsy continues to improve in general terms; he certainly has fewer tubes coming out/going in than a couple of days ago. He's on his 2nd 24-hr white all-singing-all-dancing multi vitamin drip feed. We had a bit of a glitch yesterday mentally as he doesn't react well to morphine; he gets very depressed and was pretty incoherent but insistent I did various (non-essential and generally untrue/unnecessary) things urgently like ringing the bank, and preparing for him to retire on ill health grounds. Real rambling stuff which is horrible to watch. Had nightmares too (him not me). Anyway he asked for them to take him off morphine, and he was much clearer last night. This morning they have put him on Tramadol instead which just makes him sleep. The physio had him walking round the bed this morning and he has a range of generally yummy lung exercises to do to avoid getting a chest infection from lying on his back for too long.

Apart from that, I've answered a million emails and phone messages, set OH up a scrap book of his get well cards to keep by his bed, bought him a radio, grappled relentlessly with a portable hard drive, an old computer and his iPod to put some short radio plays on for him, fed & mucked out horse.
I can't hand on heart say I've done much in the house other than trying to keep the piles of cards under control and periodically clear my handbag out. You could run a competition on what I've got in my handbag at the moment - things for him, things for me to do when he's asleep, things to post if I get a chance, snacks as I don't know where I'll be or at what time. But hey, they gave me a parking permit today so now I can use the hospital car park for £5 for 5 days instead of about £8 per day.

Good night anyone who is still awake and have a nice day to those of you reading it tomorrow.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Bed time in the pen.. got a few bits wrapped but nothing much and I have sorted the remainder of Moomin's presents, she wants a mobile.. so I have her a dirt cheap payg thing and she won't be getting much each month.. I need to do a small Lush order.. The only thing requested by DD2 is Snow Fairy so I hope it is not out of stock!

I need to source a small dvd shelf unit.. I want a black one and I am not paying more than £15.. challenge set!! .. but will sort that tomorrow. I need to sort upgrades for DD3 and DS2's phones.. 'free' presents.. and I need to find tissue paper for OH. AND.. above all I need to fill out DS3's DLA form and chase Tiddles appeal.. I was told 11 weeks 14 weeks ago..

My sis is coming in the morning which means at least my kitchen will be cleaned.. I can fold laundry and she will wipe worksurfaces and sweep then I can boss OH to mop! She is bringing gifts for the girls and I have a box to go to hers for my niece and nephew and for her.

I have still not backed down on the Christmas tree front.. I refuse to make the effort if no one else is prepared to help even a bit.. they don't have advent calendars either.. I refuse to give in.. I have NEVER had my tree up later than the 11th Dec. before.. this is unheard of.. my sister has 5 up!!!

    Morning everyone.

Looks like a few Flyladies are having a stressful time so big hugs.

I had the best Christmas present yesterday. We have not seen DGD2 for a long time for various reasons. Recently though her mum has let DGS1 have her once a week as she wanted to see her Dad. She is 7 now. He brought her to see DD and me yesterday. I was so happy.

Not a lot of flying done this week. I'm going to get up early and strip the bed and see what I can get done. Off to my cousins with her present this morning. I've SW this afternoon then to my friends for a cuppa.

    Natty Healing vibes for you.

Hope today is much better for everyone.

Hugs, spoons, sticks where needed and cups of tea for pigpen

    Hello everyone
I'm coming back yet again :]
I started a new business in May of this year and have spent every waking moment getting that up and running [and I do mean EVERY waking moment] its been very hard work but lots of fun :D
Consequently the housework has been forgotten about with only emergency cleaning done once in a blue moon, I've spent the last week trying to get control of it all as well as doing some pressie buying - nearly there now, so I thought I'd come on and grab a list and see what I need to do

Hope you are all ok, often think of you and wish I had more hours in the day to come on more often

    Helen

  • Oh Natty, hugs. Just take it easy

Hi Helen. Lovely to hear from you, sounds like you have been busy. Sorry my memory is a bit woolly but was your hubby not poorly last time you were here? Keep us posted on how things are going.

I am tired all the time at the moment. I guess its just the after affects of a nasty bladder infection followed by a cold. I am normally bouncing with energy but all I want to do is sleep.

Oh and Pigpen, sending you some coping vibes, what a nightmare.

Right, paid stuff, need to get moving.
  • Morning everyone - pretty sleepless night last night for reasons I'll keep to myself just now as inconsequential within the grand flylady scheme of things.

Just sending hugs to everyone as it seems we all need them - yes even you Pigpen! - brush it off if you wish but keep the thought behind it close by you!!

Up late as dozed back off again!

Managed to hoover through yesterday until it ran out of battery in the middle of the last room. Washing is dry so after a quick breakfast I'm doing HHI - 8:30 am - anyone joining me?

After that I'll see which room needs the most. Have taken presents next door and filled our bins up with their rubbish from the party.

Take care each and every on of you and welcome to any newbies and returners

Forgot to say that this year has also seen my Mum move to a little bungalow that backs onto our garden and she's just had a full knee replacement so its all go, go, go here :D
