    :xmassmile Morning all!

I managed some of my list yesterday, including some food shopping, but a long time spent with my friend, trying to encourage her to drink, took out a big chunk - and she's right off her food again. I shall be going round with soup again today, even though she says she doesn't want me to bring her anything.

The Old Wives' carol singing (to a housebound lady in her 90s) and Christmas supper went well apart from the inevitable talk about those who are ill and those we've lost over the years.

So today's list looks like this:
[STRIKE]- send 2 emails (3 already sent)
    - check finances
    - burn CD-RW
    - shower
    - dailies[/STRIKE]
    - SW
    - make soup for lunch
    - take soup to my friend
    - deliver the last few local cards
    - sewing, if there's still enough light to see what I'm doing (if not, it will just have to wait until tomorrow)
    - finish decorating the tree, now that I've got some more hangers for the baubles
    - start wrapping presents

I should be able to complete most of that!

(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs them, GWS vibes to all poorlies and energy vibes to everyone. Wooden spoons in the jar - please help yourselves. Hope you all have a good day x

big rant.. please skip if you wish, I just needed to offload.

For the love of chickens.. I swear every moron and his pet cabbage is on overdrive today!!!

Podiatry with the girls.. get your shoes on .. I can't they're at dads.. !!!!!! did you wear for school yesterday? ... sandshoes!! ... SANDSHOES!!! SAND-EFFING-SHOES!!!!!!

Seriously that man is !!!!!! as well as mentally ill!! Sandshoes!! She has a pair of £90 boots with a raise on and orthotic inserts and he sends her to school in December in sandshoes!!!

    Irate does not cover it!!!!

Tiddles had 'left' her insoles in her old boots she retrieved FROM THE BIN!!!!!!! also at his house... I swear they both are insane sometimes!

I have thrown a MAJOR wobbly.. I rang KH to see if there was anyone in so we could collect them and no one was so Tiddles has new insoles and Moomin has new insoles in her non-school boots and is spending the day in isolation because they aren't allowed in class not in uniform.

The school rang KH to ask where Moomin was despite the fact they were informed on Friday she had this appointment and photocopied the appointment letter for the register!!! So he sent a text to his tramp which I received calling me a silly cow.. so I responded with a polite message.. it actually was.. informing him the school were informed and I had tried to call them this morning but their answerphone was full so I couldn't.. and not to call others names it is unbecoming (:p) ... apparently I call him worse so I replied with actually I call you Mr Perfect or 'perfect parent'.

ooh and you will love this.. when I rang to see if there was someone in he said.. I didn't know they had insoles!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously!!?? What kind of parents has not observed that their child has worn them for 8 YEARS!!!! and the other child for 6 years..

Then without any information to patients the podiatry carpark is a building site.. literally.. so we were 20 minutes late for the appointment! NOT impressed.. what is the difficulty in putting a little slip in the letter saying 'building work is going on in the small car park please use our other one located 'here' and a map or directions? Why is that so difficult?

THEN... We went to drop Moomin at school.. she's got no bag!!! What did she think she was doing after the appointment?? Wearing her uniform and slobbing on the sofa!? .. silly girl!

There is an untold amount of rage going on in here today!

My left washer is throwing a wobbly today, a week before Christmas..

I feel the world is all back to normal now that you're posting in your usual style Pigpen. Yes, I know you said you weren't going to be around much last week but the last we heard from you you were with $not, as were some of your offspring and to quote a meerkat, 'I'se worries about you.' Coping vibes for cabbage-style stupidity and washing machine self-fixing vibes.

I hope your friend accepts the soup, Ionafan. Does she like chocolate? It is, after all, an essential food group.

I have managed to talk myself into baking some Twinks for a school Christmas Fair tomorrow, but OH is going there in the morning so they'll have to be done today. I need something to pacakge them up in to make them look pretty - I strongly suspect the staff will be be buying most of them because I was sending tins of them down there while he was working there and they were always all gone by morning break. It's to raise funds for a trip to Harry Potter-land for Year 5 and OH has been invited to go along as one of the helpers. *Yes* Saves me shlepping there and he'll have a wonderful time, and be of some serious use to the fabulous teacher. She says that since he has been working with them on the project, their attendance has gone up to 98% and the kids have been truly amazing. I heart OH - this is the man who didn't want kids and I know he hasn't changed his mind but it's great he's good with them and brings out the best in them. His involvement is over, but he wants to see their Nativity Play. Bless.

Top layer dy$oned, two more gifts wrapped.
    Better is good enough.

Contact lens check this morning, after a quick top up shop. Then, met DS2 in favourite cafė where we nattered over coffee and petit pains aux raisins for an hour.

Just had time to do washing up and load towels into washing machine before picking up DD from preschool - she finishes today, as her uni timetable changes after Christmas and she won't have a free day.

After lunch, Ds1 and 2 will be helping me declutter the living room and hall so that I can clean. As the sun is shining, I am very tempted to potter around in the garden instead!

Pigpen Words fail me. Hope the day improves, and all the nasty germs disappear.

Seriously considering hexing Pigpen's KH with [STRIKE]hemma[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]hemorr[/STRIKE] piles or something equally unpleasant. The cynic in me thinks "malice aforethought" regarding the business with the shoe inserts.

    Ok, let's have a look.....
Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
    15 minutes .....

Clear and sweep/mop/hoover the floors Done yesterday afternoon, very thoroughly whilst there's no small dog underfoot.
Clear work surfaces and table All kept as clear as possible in any case. All that's on there is the stuff that officially lives there.
    30 minutes to spare....
    Wipe the work surfaces Done:o
Clear and clean window sills Will do shortly
15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby Done that - the small appliances have had a good wipe, as has the fridge door, as I found a sticky patch (suspect Mr LW opened it with jammy fingers):D
    Got an hour....
Wipe out the fridge, use up anything you need to All sorted - I had to play Fridge Tetris on Sunday.:D
Put away anything on the worktops you don't need for the week to give space for cooking/serving *scratches head* But I keep it all clear in any case, apart from what is officially homed there.
HHMe time before we run out of time Fat chance!:rotfl:Any "spare time" is spent on Frogs.
Meal plan (noting the above) right up to the 27th if you can Not possible at this point; but we are Meal Planned beyond Sunday, which is our celebration day.
Fill up your salt and pepper pots *scratches head again* I keep them filled in any case.

Mr LW wants to see the new Hobbit film, so we're going tonight - it's slightly cheaper on Tuesdays, and Ronnie doesn't arrive til tomorrow, so a good opportunity. We'll use my CEA card so we only pay for one ticket.:money: Dins is 2nd half of the Shepherd Spy I made yesterday - we've even plated it up already, so all we have to do is nuke it and eat as soon as he gets in from work.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
