LW - if you have any more spoons, even teeny ones please send them in my direction. And yes, DD and LittleyDog's love for each other is mutual.
Today I have slept. DH made dinner, bless him, but I have no appetite and I know that he is in pain too. I can't remember when I last took a whole day off the paid stuff for sick, think it may have been a week 10 years ago when I had an op. I will see how I feel in the morning before deciding whether to do the paid stuff tomorrow. I need to be in top gear for the inquest on Wednesday so don't want to use all my energy tomorrow.
Right, catch you all in the morning.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
*Rummages in cutlery drawer and finds a bent soup ladle and four teaspoons, none of which match each other*
Here you go Poohbear, these any use to you? Welcome Home!:D
Thank you very much LW
some spag bol and a few extra spoons will help me get going.
I have started to write cards that need to go abroad. Only family and close friends are getting cards this year. And people I see every day are definitely not getting cards. I can't quite believe I am being so tough.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Evening lovelies
Poohbear welcome home, I've got a whole load of spoons that you can have, share amongst anybody who needs them.
Been to DS2's prize giving at school, it was in a very unusual church.
Going to check DS3 is in bed, load the DW and then do the list. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Jazee my boss sent me home a couple of weeks ago when I had a bladder infection and told me not to go in the next day. I stupidly felt quite guilty! Stay at home and rest is the best plan.
I have:
Done paid stuff (both jobs)
Hoovered everywhere downstairs and swished all floors. Given downstairs loo a clean
Sorted 2 loads of washing, one on airer, one tumble dried and put away
Done a roast dinner and cleared away
Been to a committee meeting
And had a general tidy up
Oh, but confession time. I was swishing the utility floor at 9pm and couldnt really be bothered so I just cleaned around the edges without moving the rug. I will do it properly next time I promise!
Bedtime soon, the cold is going but I am still tired.0 -
Healing vibes for Jazee and Mr Narco. (My OH has man flu and don't I know about it!)YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Oh, but confession time. Hmm. I thought that was normal. If I had to move furniture, bins, stuff that's kept on the floor in tucked away places as well as the mat every time I washed the kitchen floor I'd never get round to doing it. As it is, when I think it looks as though it could do with a lick and polish I dunk a clean microfiber cloth in washing up water, fix it to the kitchen broom head with three elastic bands and swish the bits that show. Takes a few minutes and then I rinse the microfiber cloth out after I've finished the washing up.
When I've got the time and the inclination I move stuff around and do it properly, but there are more important things in life.Better is good enough.0 -

Morning flyladies. An early start for me as LittleyDog woke up early frantic to go out. Thanks for all the spoons etc. I've woken up with as much energy as I had yesterday morning so I'll see how long it lasts before making a decision about the paid stuff. Yesterday my batteries ran down after 2 hours.
I feel really guilty about being off because I now work from home again so I don't even have to go anywhere.
Right, lets get the hot water on and start with a relaxing bath.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning everyone - Jazee just take it easy, hope you feel better soon.
And HB thanks. I did lift the edges up and swish underneath a little!!
Paid stuff this morning then hospital for DSs treatment this aft. Kitchen is reasonably OK, I just need to clear a few things off the breakfast bar which is a favourite hotspot for stuff belonging to the other members of my family!0 -
Morning all
DS3's present is ready for collection so I shall be collecting that today via a different nursery to try to pick up a few hellebore as gifts (too expensive at yesterday's nursery).
Plan to get an hour's flying done first and to write the cards I need to post and get them posted. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
