DH has gone on his works day out, boys decluttered to school and work already had a run down the shops for bread, milk and the hole in the wall. strangely had an unfeasalbe amount of random text messages to deal with from people i just wasnt expecting to hear from. All have now had replies postie has been but im also waiting for a redelivery from yesterday, gardener friend is here preping for the turf so his 1st coffee has been made. wrapped friedns parcel ready for posting later and got dad and step mums stuff down to wrap as i think theyll be over at the weekend for DS1s birthday.
pigpen the latest our tree used to ever go up was christmas eve after the kiddies had gone to bed. Santa used to put it up along with all the deccys so it all looked magical christmas morning (but as the amount of kiddies increased santa realised they had more than enough to do that night so learned the art of deligating and let the tree be put up and decorated by the children earlier on) i really dont blame you for sticking to your guns over this one as they will never learn if you dont
more coffee needed then i mustcrack on

Morning everyone. I'm up and about just not dressed. am sitting on the sofa in pj's waiting for the painkillers to kick in as my arm is killing me at the moment.
For those that were wondering how I managed to break my elbow/kill my hand and ankle, unfortunately it's not very interesting.. I fell down the stairs face forwards and my arm/hand took the full force of my landing and I managed to twist my ankle somehow. I suppose I was lucky that I only did this and not any more damage, although this is bad enough..lol I didn't realise how much I use my left hand, even just picking something up both handed is out of the question.
The one thing that is going to drive me insane is not being able to drive as I am so used to just getting in the car and popping somewhere if needed. Now I am going to have to walk to the supermarket or the village, and get cabs to my therapy group on Tuesdays..oh joy...lol One consolation is I could get very fit at the end of this, and I would have saved a fortune in money..
Do you know the sad thing about it is I can't get my engagement and wedding ring on at the moment due to the hand being so swollen.. I miss them. Got my silver anniversary rings on instead as they were for the other hand and are slightly bigger
Anyway I am going to do what I can in the house while stuck inside. Today I am going to sort out the flylady cards, get the postage printed off and take a slow walk to the village and post them in the big post box.Might even keep going and pop into my friend T's, who took me to the hospital when I did this and waited while I was being seen, and have a cuppa with her.
Still have the tree to put up though..maybe in small doses it can be put together during the day...then decorated.. Well I can dream can't I..lol

Well today was going quite well until my 13yo came home from school looking close to tears and has just thrown a major wobbly over nothing. OK I should have done the adult thing and just walked away but I made it worse by arguing with him.
This is all very out of character for him, he is usually so happy and easy going. I feel a bit teary now and he has barricaded himself in his bedroom. Sigh.0
