Yup the place I found selling them individually it was 54p for one plus £3 p&p  I just paid £3.19 for 50.

I may have mentioned that I have my DIY stuff in my bedside cabinet drawer? Hence the need to find someone with a car bigger than mine to go buy a storage unit to remove these things.

Reassuring and rather dull if you ask me. ;)

And also rather obvious. If being fifteen miles from the coast isn't enough to stop the sea coming into my living room, there's an awful lot of people in this country in trouble...

Just taken a deep breath and finally made a big lump payment to one of my credit cards. £2k off the biggest balance.

I've reworked my very out of date whatsthecost snowball and assuming I can pay off £150 a month I should be free of the cards in 38 months. Now I know I can be setting a reasonable budget to live on I also know that any extra money can be chucked at the cards again so as long as I remember to pay off any spending that'll come down.

    Happy new month.

Day off today so walked down to the Co-Op, it's about the same distance away as the little shop in the next village but a much tougher walk as its down hill, up hill, and back down the other side away. Took me about 15 mins longer than the lovely flat route to the village shop. Spent under £5 on bits to make dinner tonight - tin of beans, frozen potato waffles, a pack of reduced pre-preped veggies and a reduced loaf of toastie bread.

Once I've made dinner there should be space in the freezer box to put some of the bread in there bagged up.

Also hit the 500 points I need to redeem on apptrailers but their paypal option rarely works at the weekends so will cash it out tomorrow, only 50c but every little and all that. :D

Just finished a survey which seems to have credited me the full points value despite screening me out - but it put me over the redemption limit so have cashed out for £3 to paypal.

Decided I need to make an effort with that meeting other humans thing so have signed up to meetup.com and joined a local group, will be going to a walk and pub lunch event at the local forest next weekend.

Also had an email from field agent, the job I did the other week will be paid this week. :)

The meet up last night was interesting, nice women but not sure those particular ones will become friends although it was a nice enough evening.

Dentist this morning was good news, I didn't need a root canal just a new slightly bigger filling which also means it didn't cost me any more.

Feeling somewhat irritated at the moment. Mainly work stuff.

Counting. Numbers. Simple things yet when someone else gives us a wrong number it makes us look incompetent. This has happened on several occasions now and at some point it'll happen when we're serving a meal which can't be slightly adjusted to elasticate it on to more plates than we were told about.

Being told my probation has been extended another month as I miss 'details' and it's not my fault as I didn't know they needed doing....well maybe just maybe that would be up to my line manager to pull me aside and let me know there is more I could/should be getting the ladies to do, much less ask me to help improve morale as 'noone knows if they'll have a job next year' when frankly I've seen no morale issues - everyone is broadly happy at work and in their work (discounting the grumpy moaning old cowbag in another dept).

Meh just feels very unfair and I want to stamp my feet and throw a strop but thats massively unprofessional and likely to be extremely counter productive (aside from anything else people would start to Pray for me and that would cause another strop as I begin to fry).

Hoping to get work out of the way tomorrow morning and go for a run while the weather is good (have even packed the phone armband so I don't need the jacket if it's warm enough).
