The cupboards are too low or I'd have done that!

My favourites are the cheap ones! It's a bit annoying that the house didn't have one already rather than just the freezer box at the top of the fridge.

How big is this kitchen? Sounding as cramped as mine.

I'm looking at quality stuff now as it'll last (hopefully). My current fridge freezer has the *fridge* compartment going down to -15C on "1" - so it has to go...

Is there a garage/outhouse in your house? You could go for a chest freezer.

Its pretty small, although there is plenty of cupboard space it doesnt have much by way of work surfaces which isnt a big problem I just have to make an effort to keep it tidy.

While I'm renting I don't see the point in spending alot on a freezer as this has been the first place I've rented which didnt have one already. If I ever get in to a position to buy I'll start thinking about buying something better quality.

Nope I've no private outside space here at all never mind somewhere I could put a chest freezer.

Running is not fun, not comfortable and means you end up cold and wet from going outdoors.

Did a 2.4 mile road run and reminded myself why I drive - the hills are steep here even running on the pavements (where there are such a thing locally).

Got my first gas and electricity bills.

I need to phone them as the gas bill is estimated based on numbers which are widly inaccurate 20 units fewer as a start number than the reading I submitted when I moved in but 10 units higher than the reading I took this afternoon! I'll set up a dd anyway, as I can afford an overpayment at the moment and it'll help reduce my later payments making saving easier.

I'll give it a couple of weeks then look at switching when I've a better idea of my typical usage for both as the current numbers are skewed by being away over Christmas and New Year.

Currently sat on my bed with a brew wishing I didn't need to get dressed and go back to work for the evening. :(

That just means you have the wrong kinds of clothes on. I extol the virtues of a hat whenever I can. Stops you getting wet as a very minimum, but the wind resistance for you may be a bit much.

I drive because I can't run at 60mph. I don't run because of the "not fun" bit mentioned above...

    Good idea.

Given the amount of rain that managed to fall in the middle 15 minutes of my run I doubt anything short of a drysuit would have kept me fully dry!

Yep, split shift, morning to mid afternoon then a few hours this evening which is now thankfully over.

I hate even the idea of a split shift. To me if feels like "Wake up, go to work. Come from work, go to sleep."

    Weekend at work survived.

Box of wine consumed between Friday and now.

1x hunover brunch with a friend, followed by showing said friend around work in case his company want to use the site for future events, and a wander around the WW2 pill boxes (fresh air to clear the hangover).

Few hours this evening chatting with my friend in the Middle East, and being told that by him that I seem to have less fun than I used to - time to start finding a social life I think!

Not in case your friend wanted to use the pill boxes for future events..? ;)

Yes, you do seem rather "flatter" than you used to be. I think your recent adventures "oop north" haven't been all that good for you - which is not surprising.

You probably also need to get back into annoying the sea life - assuming you still enjoy that sort of stuff.

Any events he wishes to hold in the pill boxes I want no part of! Aside from anything else hes the same age as my Dad.

Naturally the wine is gone too, I'm not daft enough to consume the box without the content.

Day off today, so went for a run around the forest. I did the 2.5 mile trail, it was a slow run, mainly because there were big sections which were ridiculously muddy and its all slopes. But thats 1 visit towards covering the cost of the annual pass.

Spoke to the friend I work with this evening, they've been talking about a work girls night out on Wednesday - apparently it was discussed in the office today so I'm planning to go to the cinema with them which will be nice as I so rarely get to see the ladies in the admin block.
