So now you're going to be discerning up-front and not have to deal with the riff-raff later?
I must admit, I sorted by customer review, and chose everything in the genres I liked which had more than 3 reviews and more than 4 stars.

No I've just not bought an ebook in almost 3 years while I try to work through the ones I have on the account unread.
Finished the ebook I was struggling with, the next one I've started is better already.
And in happy news its payday.
In less happy news I have the water bill which is going to be £49 a month as a water meter has been installed and they don't have enough information to calculate payments, I'm hoping it'll go down as I was only paying £40 a month in the 2 bed house and £30 in the last flat I had!
Gas and electric bills have been recalculated based on my readings too so I need to have another go at setting up the direct debits for those - last time I tried it wouldn't let me presumably because I'd just submitted the readings.
I also have the council tax bill can't set up a dd for that online so will have to phone the office tomorrow after work. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

So this one is good erotica, rather than bad?scubaangel wrote: »And in happy news its payday.
On a Tuesday? That's unusual.scubaangel wrote: »In less happy news I have the water bill which is going to be £49 a month as a water meter has been installed and they don't have enough information to calculate payments, I'm hoping it'll go down as I was only paying £40 a month in the 2 bed house and £30 in the last flat I had!
Whatever you pay now, won't be paid later. Just make sure you get those meter readings in promptly.scubaangel wrote: »Gas and electric bills have been recalculated based on my readings too so I need to have another go at setting up the direct debits for those - last time I tried it wouldn't let me presumably because I'd just submitted the readings.

Yes, now is a good time. Monday morning are a "not good time"...

No its an archaeology based crime story, a few plot issues but am hoping it'll tie together at the end.
Well there was no money in the account Monday night and there was last night, along with the email payslip.
I don't even know where the water meter is, need to find that as I definitely didn't take a reading from one when I first moved in.
Yesterday wasn't too bad, today on the other hand was a breakfast meeting day, and theres another one tomorrow. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Set in the present day, or Victorian?scubaangel wrote: »Well there was no money in the account Monday night and there was last night, along with the email payslip.
Normally the runs are done for a Friday. Though I am seeing more runs done for the exact end of the month, even if it falls on a weekend. Don't ask me why...scubaangel wrote: »I don't even know where the water meter is, need to find that as I definitely didn't take a reading from one when I first moved in.
They're normally under the kitchen sink if they've been retro-fitted, or in the cupboard with the rest if it is a new-build.scubaangel wrote: »Yesterday wasn't too bad, today on the other hand was a breakfast meeting day, and theres another one tomorrow.

Well I have two cupboards outside with the gas and electic meters and no water meter there, and only the stop tap under the sink.
Todays big problematic happening was dropping my phone in to a bucket while I was cleaning the table legs (I was crawling around under the tables so took it out of my jeans pocket and put it on a chair so I could listen to music and knocked it off the chair when I was crawling out.) so am currently researching the best prices of newer model iPhones - I'd like to stick with apple as I can still use the mystery shopping app on it which over the last 23 months has paid for the last handsetIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Mystery...
You don't say how old the property is, but next time you're out, try looking for a tiny manhole cover (about the size of a CD, but square) somewhere out the front on the ground.scubaangel wrote: »Todays big problematic happening was dropping my phone in to a bucket while I was cleaning the table legs (I was crawling around under the tables so took it out of my jeans pocket and put it on a chair so I could listen to music and knocked it off the chair when I was crawling out.) so am currently researching the best prices of newer model iPhones - I'd like to stick with apple as I can still use the mystery shopping app on it which over the last 23 months has paid for the last handset
I'd suggest something like this as well then: http://www.amazon.co.uk/iDry-Waterproof-Phone-Case-iPhone/dp/B00KFX8DHY

It's currently in a box of rice and silica beads in my airing cupboard but I figure if I know what I want to spend/where I want to spend it when I know if tthe handset is totally dead or not I can get it sorted out asap. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Yes, one of the problems with them is the battery is rather hard to remove in a hurry...scubaangel wrote: »but I figure if I know what I want to spend/where I want to spend it when I know if tthe handset is totally dead or not I can get it sorted out asap.
Do you have a backup phone?

No, but most of my friends use fb to message me or whatsapp when I'm at work so have done the fb status update to let people know I've no phone for a few days. Happily I've nothing planned this weekend that I'd need the phone for so other than the feeling that I've lost an electronic limb it shouldnt have too much of an effect (just gotta remember to set my alarm on the radio).
Quiet, I worked from early to get plenty of cleaning done while we're lacking in guests so I could get out mid afternoon and do a product buy back job.
Slowly getting myself organised again with the self employed stuff which is going to help the finances if I do need to replace the phone. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
