  • Hi All,

Can I join the 2016 thread? I have been overpaying this year but no point adding figures this late on in the year so would like to start for 2016 :-)

Thanks for a great thread this year and here's to 2016!
  • #71 here, £215.31 OP done for December :) And with that, target is reached! £2508.87 for the year. Don't think I will do any more as any spare cash left will go to meeting my savings target :)

Conscious overpayments have been 30,000.00, plus Tilly Tidies of 1130.86 has given me a total overpayment figure of 31,130.86 for 2015.

    ...

Did I mention the Tilly Tidies? :rotfl:

Kerfuffle, that's spectacular (especially as your original target was £10,000)! I keep meaning to get into the Tilly Tidy habit, but haven't (yet) - I think it would work really well for me if I could 'see' my mortgage balance and see each little TT drop it a bit, but all I see is a statement every six months. When the current deal expires i'm probably going to go for an offset, and at that point the TT fun will start :D

Miss Pinky - I'll start the 2016 MFW thread in a week or so (unless there are any other takers for running it) so watch this space :)

    Hi Lomcevak

I have an offset account too but still do the Tilly Tidies even though it doesn't make any difference to the interest. Doing the Tilllies keeps the mortgage balance at a rounded figure until the monthly payment goes out, and then I aim to keep the next figure rounded until the following month. Online banking is brilliant, very entertaining and addictive, I had to stop myself doing another tidy up last night :rotfl:Hope your deal ends soon and you can join in the fun ;)
  • Number 77 stopping by with my November op of £890.76 bringing my total op to £9481.15.

Well done to every one for their OP's its really inspiring to read, and helped me keep the momentum and desire to op. Looking forward to starting again from next year when my mortgage co allows it (as i can only op by 10% a year, which thanks to shares from work plus other payments I managed to do, next year will be much harder for me to do i fear, but every little helps.

Thanks again Lomcevak for your hard work this year.

#5 here with my December update £366 paid in OP. That's my final op for 2015, thanks lomcevak for all the inputting, inspiring messages and spreadsheet geniuses....I cannot do any spreadsheets so am in awe of you excel whizzes!

I would love to carry onto the mfw 2016 when it's set up again. It's a great motivator to see it all there in black and white and how much you've op'd in total.
Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞
