I would like to try this challenge. For groceries, toiletries and cleaning products I want to start off with £350
I hope to reduce this monthly.
Happy New Year to everyone else on this challenge.

    Thanks scotmum!

Just been to c* op, it's more expensive, but to get to a cheaper shop is a 15 minute drive so not worth the savings unless we need a bigger shop.

Also gave hubby £10 for any food bits he needs when he goes back to work, (told him his hair cut is to come out of that too ;) )

    So that's a total spend of £23.06

(I took £70 out in cash, have £53.50 in my grocery pot though as had some left over from December. I'm going to make this £70 last 2 weeks instead of 1, and if I have anything left after the 2 weeks it will go into my sealed pot.

    Money, money everywhere :p

Student Discount at the Coop?? Do you need NUS card for that or will uni card suffice?

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
NSD here which stretches my budget!

I made spaghetti with tomatoes, carrots, onions & sausages tonight. I cooked a packet of 8 and used 4 chopped up. So that is enough left for another meal of some sort.

Honestly though I am struggling to keep up having the family home all day. My son has gone through a bag of tangerines since yesterday morning. At least when you send them in with a packed lunch you know they are getting 1 per day in there not 6 like he'll eat at home. I suppose I shouldn't grumble because he is a healthy eater but he munched through half a cucumber as a snack this afternoon!

Lol, my 4 year old grand daughter is obsessed with cucumber too. She eats loads of the stuff! She was delighted back in the summer when she discovered that I had them growing in a big pot in the garden :)
