Have to go in again, Lidl this time as DD2 needs a lift to the bus stop
but I can get a weekend offer and some of the Asian special which are a good price and worth stocking up the store cupboard with.
I'll sit down later with the till receipts and do the maths. My suspicion is that I went over in the end so will remove the DIY items and maybe put the last shop over into February....I was doing so well in the first half but January is an awfully long month, will do better in FebruaryFirst they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
Final Jan spend £285.70. Sorry don't know how to make big as well as red. Slightly over budget, but good considering includes special buffet for MIL's birthday.

Hello all...
I needed bread and milk -- resisted the temptation to buy wine and snacks that we didn't really need!

Final spends for January today taking the total to £172.02 this was from a budget of £230.00 so £57.98 under budget and £12.13 less than was spent in Jan 2014.
Lovely to see so many others coming under budget as well. :TMARCH £62.38/2500 -
So final spends today and total for the month is £280.10 and I had budgeted for £310.
I've been keeping a spreadsheet of receipts all month but I'm sure I must have missed putting some of my petrol receipts in as my petrol spend seems very low. DH's is over £100 but mine is much less, which doesn't seem right.
We had some big spends elsewhere this month, with DH's birthday, car bits, a new mattress and the cat's dental extractions but hopefully I can look forward to spending less in February.0 -
My final shop this morning bought my grand total for January £122.96/£123.00. I was 4p under!
Now to tackle February! :jMAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250
