Well that was embarrassing!!
Normally do my weekly shop on a Thursday, but given tonight's promise of snow, decided to go tonight instead. Hubby gives me his card and off I go with DS2 in hand to Mr T's. Tell DS2 we are doing a healthy shop, no rubbish. Get to check out, take card out, input pin and PIN ERROR!!! Hubby had given me wrong card, phone home, to ask for correct number, he thinks its the one I entered, so have to then sit and wait while DD's bf comes to me with the cash, only hubby sends him to Icel&nd which is totally in the other direction of where we live. Honestly, you couldn't make this stuff up!!
Anycase total spend was £62.79 which means I am £28.45 over budget for this month, but really pleased with myself, as this is first time I've joined this challenge and I have learnt so much and know I will do better next month.
So thank you everyone for all your hints and tips, greatly appreciatedLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

Popped into M local to see if they had any reduced goods on the way home from dropping a friend home, picked up 2 packs of 4 wholemeal rolls reduced to 9p a pack and a 4 pack of boosts on special for £1, when it went through the till it added the discount for buying 2 packs of rolls so I saved 18p so they ended up being free and I just paid for the chocolate. Going to freeze them as it's only me that eats wholemeal.Grocery Challenge 2024
