Well, nearly the end of the month :D

Thought I,d treat myself this lunchtime, even though i,d taken HM soup and roll to work - I have been REALLY wanting a bacon baguette, so I took my £2.50 to the works canteen, all excited and......

    They were closed for redecorating........

    NSD:cool:

    :rotfl: that's typical.

Definitely worth a try. I told DH months ago that if he wanted chocolate stuff and sweets he could buy his own - he does :T

Lynnejk you are right, the F word was inappropriate, in which case I could say that I succeeded 6 out of 7, or in other words I passed with an 85.7% mark, is that better?
I think that's much fairer to yourself ;)

Forgot I needed yoghurt so £2.40 on two large tubs of unsweetened greek.

I am surprised that still under budget as not much YS this month. The coupons for A*di and MnS certainly helped but also used up some stock in freezers and cupboards :j Also finding a rough meal plan for each week is helping and hoping for a cheap month in February.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

    Hello,

NSD no. 15 today! And still fairly under budget with the GC ending on 31st January.

Bobarella yes I could try, but I found it very frustrating that it was not my undoing. Sometimes I feel like DH is just dragging along to keep me quiet :-) and DS would find it rather difficult.

I moved a few spend engagements out of the way, my herbal clinic to the following week, even if it is health, and my hairdresser for a long overdue haircut, but it is not always possible. Perhaps I should just do it all by myself, tell them both that I am not spending from day x to day y and that during this timespan they either accept my offerings or buy their own stuff. I know that DS would do that very likely.

Now a request please, does anybody know of any L!dl or Aldee vouchers kicking about in any paper or mag at the moment? I am running out of nuts and loo paper and am planning a biggish stock up, so a fiver off would go a long way. Thank you.
There's sometimes a lidl voucher via their Facebook page.
I usually look on the BBC website, they do a feature of what's on the front of the next days papers, they always advertise on there if theres a voucher in the paper.
Otherwise you can download and print farm food vouchers, they do £2.50 off a £25 spend.

  • Did my final shop for January today and so my total for the month comes to
    $1116.46
although I've gone over my initial budget this is less than my usual outgoings.
I've never kept all the receipts before and its interesting how much the little top up shops here and there add up.
Off to update sig and post new budget over on Feb thread :)
Love people use things. The opposite never works.

Final spend of the month today £58.55 which brings the total to £212.60 out of £240. I did stock up well before Christmas though, so I thought it would be OK. Next month will be the interesting one as things start running out.
I am going to be going through the same scenario as you. All the leftovers are gone, freezer obvious meals have gone, not sure whether to up the budget a bit for January, agree though that it may be interesting when the strange meal combinations start appearing:rotfl:
    January GC: £64.81/£80.00
    February GC: £24.60£80.00

I've got one final shop this month which I'll do tomorrow. Don't need a lot of main meal food but lots of fridge and cupboard stuff. Still have plenty left in the budget so will definitely be under again. More to move over into savings on Friday.

Another NSD today - now up to 19 for January.

I've overspent by £3.85, but hopefully don't need anything else until Feb. I don't feel too bad, as when I checked my master budget spreadsheet, I'd allowed £303 for Jan. £283.65 seems very good then.
