Final spend of the month today £58.55 which brings the total to £212.60 out of £240. I did stock up well before Christmas though, so I thought it would be OK. Next month will be the interesting one as things start running out.
  • £10.60 spent today in Co** and Lid*, mainly on fruit and veg.

We have a voucher for eating at Caf! Rouge tomorrow so hopefully a cheap day.

Did buy some tie backs for our new curtains as they were too bunched up when pulled back and also some drawer dividers but they will need to go back as they're too deep.

Just about to light the tea lights to give the illusion of warmth!

    Hello,

NSD no. 15 today! And still fairly under budget with the GC ending on 31st January.

Bobarella yes I could try, but I found it very frustrating that it was not my undoing. Sometimes I feel like DH is just dragging along to keep me quiet :-) and DS would find it rather difficult.

I moved a few spend engagements out of the way, my herbal clinic to the following week, even if it is health, and my hairdresser for a long overdue haircut, but it is not always possible. Perhaps I should just do it all by myself, tell them both that I am not spending from day x to day y and that during this timespan they either accept my offerings or buy their own stuff. I know that DS would do that very likely.

Lynnejk you are right, the F word was inappropriate, in which case I could say that I succeeded 6 out of 7, or in other words I passed with an 85.7% mark, is that better?

Now a request please, does anybody know of any L!dl or Aldee vouchers kicking about in any paper or mag at the moment? I am running out of nuts and loo paper and am planning a biggish stock up, so a fiver off would go a long way. Thank you.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

The A!di one (£5 off £40 spend) was in the paper last Thursday. It's apparently the 4th Thursday of every month, but I don't keep track as I can't spend that much in one hit due to the fact I'm already waaaay overstocked on all things cleaning and long-life having used two last year. None of the stores seem to cater for single people or couple or couples on low/tight budgets :(

  • I've added up all my food receipts from the bottom of my bag and I have spent £276.91 and still have a few days to go. Will come in under £300 for January but still over budget. Going to attempt to do online shopping only in Feb to minimise temptation!

Well, nearly the end of the month :D

Thought I,d treat myself this lunchtime, even though i,d taken HM soup and roll to work - I have been REALLY wanting a bacon baguette, so I took my £2.50 to the works canteen, all excited and......

    They were closed for redecorating........
