Evening All.
I need to have a catch up on this thread but I am declaring I came in UNDER for the month of Jan. Granted I had a fair bit of Christmas leftovers to use up but it has proved that I buy things just because they are on offer and I also learned that shopping on my lunch break can be a winner (Branston beans in Mr S are £2.40 but £1.39 in B&M Bargains).
So this weeks total was £60.37 (incl £52.71 at Mr S and £7.66 at B&M). Therefore my total for the month was £306.80/£350. Added to the fact that this was a 5 week month and you can call me rather chuffed. I usually end up topping the account up when its a 5 week month, and to say that's only to cover 2 adults and a cat, that's a sad shame.
I'm joining the February challenge to make sure it wasn't a fluke and the savings are already winging their way towards the old savings account. :j Plus, reading all you lots posts have been a real inspiration to keep on going. Thanks and hopefully see you over in FebHow long til pay day?

Well done on coming in under budget for January.
Seeing the bit about Branston beans I bought some in Mr Ts a couple of weeks ago at £1.27 for 4 - have just checked their website and they're still at that price.

I'm missing posting on here as we're not really grocery shopping this month as we've got so much in the freezers etc...still loving following the thread along as usual though.
I just got back from our 3rd grocery shop (meal plan's all gone to plan so far). We're still on track for a nice saving, and should only have 1 shop left next week. I'm keeping everything crossed that we can stay on track - we've been having car troubles since just before Christmas, so it'll be nice to see 1 budget pot looking nice and healthy to start the year!0 -
