Well after a couple of non listed shopping trips, I have the mighty sum of 61p to last the next 10 days!! So I'm gonna go over budget, but I'm OK with that. I know why, and hopefully won't repeat the same mistakes. (not preparing lunches for work!!) So, the next 2 days lunches are already made & in the fridge.
I need to curb the shopping addicition, because I could easily survive on the food in my house for a month!!My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

It's been a busy couple of days but the cupboards are full and our weekly menu is done so a £67.58 shop for me but I'm still within my £240 budget and we haven't eaten out this weekend instead we had a nice pizza from the supermarket. His left a dent in my shopping budget but overall has saved us money
Fingers crossed that we can survive until the end of the month and stay in budget20p Savers (£22.20/£100)

I don't think I updated last weekend, this was £38 spend in Tesco. This weekend I spent £12.12 in Lidls & £7.33 in tescos express, £48.34 remaining from my budget this month, will be tight but doable I'm sure if I do a stock list of whats left over! I didn't include petrol in my budget, but I was pleasantly surprised when I filled up my car for £30.88 ( I was close to the red light but not on it) Prices were dropped and I had 4p off pl, with the tescos fuel save thing. Think it its the closest I've been to £1pl since 2007/8!MFW

I am seriously thinking about banning myself from going to supermarkets, on Saturday last weekend I visited supermarkets 4 times! Crazy. I'm still on track at the moment, although have spent more than I would have liked to. All of the cupboards are full, again! I keep thinking I'm going to run them down then I head to the shops.
I'm wondering whether I might be better to shop online, and just visit Lidl when there is a good weekend offer on that I don't want to miss. So difficult though as I live in walking distance to the supermarkets.
I'm much better than I used to be but still have some way to go. My ideal would be to shop once per week, but I always end up heading out!January grocery challenge £0/£300

I do pretty much my whole shop at A*di, a little bit at F*rmfoods and then a couple of items at A/M/S namely milk and marge and any herbs/spices or random articles I can't get at A*di or F*rmfoods.
Can I ask how much the cheese is at T*sco and for what size block?CountingPennies wrote: »Of course. for the cheese I bought at Aldi, the similar Tesco one was 450g, £3 or to blocks for £5.

Which cheese did you buy? I usually buy the mild cheddar at £1.75 for 350g!Grocery Challenge 2024

Had a big shop today and spent £41.09 plus an extra £10 on a half price grill pan
Had 2 dance bills today £88 and £336 both got to paid by 4th Feb, so thought i'd worked it out at £207 left till then, however I forget 3 weeks pocket money and 3 weeks dinner money, which takes me down to £117 less todays spend of £51.09.
Hopefully this will be doable, but much tighter squeeze than I originally thought. Do have money set aside for it in savings account, but really want to see if I can do without dipping into it
Right, enough babbling, think if I type it out it makes more sense to me, off to update my sigLoving life to the full, just need purse full too
