Things I noticed, cheese from Aldi is smaller block. Tesco didn't sell that size. Aldi free range eggs are in 15's, whereas tescos are 12's. 20-odd cheaper at Tesco, but less eggs. Muffins only in 4 packs at Aldi, 6 packs at Tesco. Few other differences but nothing major. I could never do a "full" shop at Aldi. Our store isn't huge, and there are a lot of value products at Tesco which we like and are much cheaper than Aldi, but I will try to go to Aldi for some bits but it all depends if I have a lift or not. Too far to walk with heavy bags and no bus route there.
Interesting to see the results tho.
CP xx
Interesting comparisonI do pretty much my whole shop at A*di, a little bit at F*rmfoods and then a couple of items at A/M/S namely milk and marge and any herbs/spices or random articles I can't get at A*di or F*rmfoods.
Can I ask how much the cheese is at T*sco and for what size block?

Of course. for the cheese I bought at Aldi, the similar Tesco one was 450g, £3 or to blocks for £5.
Another NSD today, so that is 4 for the week. Not going out today because of the snow. Really happy with that! Will try again next week!

A spend of £7.53 today on milk, pop, spring onion, soap powder and a whopping big bag of smoked haddock, down from £9 to £1.77 :j
That leaves me with £9 to last the week for the 4 of us. We really won't starve as we have a full cupboard and freezer, it will just be a case of "If we don't have it you don't get it"£36/£240

Declaring a nsd today.
I have just updated my sig for yesterday's spend. Slightly less to add on than I thought as DS2 brought me £2 change from his cinema trip.
I have already written the shopping list for Wednesday and although I may add a few extra items on (namely dh's ales) it is looking good.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Still agonising over emergency spend!
Petrol £14 cheaper than expected, new contacts £7 cheaper as I only need one complex lens and I thought it was two. Plus no electricity DD this month while changing suppliers and a quidco payment due. When I add it all up I actually have more extra than my shop cost!
I think I'm going to leave as is, and tell myself there's no spending the extra bits and bobs on treats like I usually would, as my treat was instant food from a packet vs actually cooking
I think over the next few months I might start reducing cash spend by voucher spend and see if I can build up an emergency £50 for next time.
Staying in until payday, mind you! Getting bread out the freezer for a pack up next.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000
