Hi guys I need some serious help I am £1300 overdrawn with Satander initially It was a agreed overdraft and initially I was charged £1 everyday I spoke to a woman in the bank but got nowhere today explained that I have currently no income coming in and she spoke to her colleague on the phone who waivered a £44 charge that was about to hit me me plunging me further into the overdraft.
She then wavered the £44 fee and explained that I am going to be hit with charges £6 a day she then said that I am going to be contacted by finical Satander support in the next few days.
I am at my wits end is there anyway I can get out of this temporarily and freeze the account?

If the Financial Support Team contact you then talk to them, explain what is going on and that you have no income at the moment.
If they don't contact you within a few days then I would give them a ring, here's the number 0845 603 9035.
Their website gives good tips and tools for you to have a look at if you are having difficulties. Here's the link http://www.santander.co.uk/uk/help-support/money-worries
Talk to them and explain about your lack of income, they won't know if you don't tell them.
Hope this helps

Agree with Dobbibill
There is no point putting yourself through mental torture talk to the financial support team at Santander when they call and with their help you will be able to take control of the situation and even if you have no income at this time you will be demonstrating your honesty and integrity in facing up to the situation which will help in whatever settlement you reach with the bank.0 -
Open a basic bank account. switch all of your stuff over to the new bank account, namely income. Because then any income you do have won't be swallowed up by an overdraft and fees.
Deal with the debt (overdraft) as a seperate matter.0 -
I wonder whether some kind person could move this to The Budgeting & Bank Accounts Board where it might get more responses. The Credit Cards Board doesn't reallyseem to be the best place. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
