Some people use their total debt as their target number and just aim to clear as much as possible, others, like me pick one (or more debts) and use that total as their target to clear.
My target is £4k, which consists of my 2 overdrafts, my sofa finance and my unsecured bank loan, which I think, that with a lot of hard work, I can realistically clear by the years end (hopefully!)

OK. I am ready to go now. Today I have added up all my debts and updated my signature with my new total. Originally I thought it was about £6k but it is actually £1k more than I thought.
Today I have paid £16.50 towards the debt, not much but still something, my new total includes this payment.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi, do you mind if I join you?
Current total debt is a bit beyond what we'd manage in 1 year (£35630)but aiming for all of the minor unsecured stuff (2 credit cards, 2 family loans, loan and an over draft) as well as starting to make an indent in to the unsecured NRAM loan which is stopping us from moving home.
Aim to pay £14128 off in 2015.0 -
Made an extra payment of £80 today!
Takes my figures to:
#85 £480/£25,0000 -

Ah I see - so could just focus on the most expensive and try to clear that. Thanks roundthebend.
So will try to clear scorecard £1786.29 by the end of the year. Will be a tough one cos has a high APR but will be worth it
Am not sure how to reply so here's hoping this reaches the thread!!

Hi Frogmella! You can pick your target, it doesn't have to be your whole debt (despite the title!).
Just post your updates in the thread, I come along every now and then and update the front page. I'll get a number assigned to you on my next 'sweep', welcome along :T0
