Bought a new car today. Have to say it's nice to be able to buy things up front and not add to the debt, but I'd rather that cash was still in the bank. Hoping to flog the other soon - if we can get a couple of hundred for it that'd be great.

I'm with you on that one. We had a quote for some work on the house and, although we have the money in the bank, I don't want to spend it!
  • Finally I have cleared this years target of £6000!!
I am far from debt free with still £7000 to go but this will be cleared with the money from our house sale.
I always wanted to be debt free by the time I was 30 and this may actually come true now!
In 18months we have somehow managed to clear about £20k between the two of us! I will be glad when the house sale is done and dusted and I can slow down my work and spend more time with my daughter!

    No 003 £6000 / £6000 100%

Good luck to everyone still on their journey!

  • Well done everyone - keep up the good work:)

Pay day was on Friday so need to make sure it lasts the whole of September. Paid £100 off my credit card.

    #058: £9,124.87/ £10,400 (87.74%)

Had a bit of a bad month and ended up increasing my debt by £400 (on 0%) thank goodness - car needed 2 tyres, then 1 got puncture and had to buy another and new brake disks and pads. Hopefully still going to be debt free by Christmas but likely to be at the end of December not the beginning.
    I am steadily getting there.:D
