Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2015!

Afternoon all!
Sorry for the leave of absence. It's been an anxious time in the Pablo household, with our tenancy unexpectedly coming towards its end and us really struggling to find a suitable replacement.
Well, we found a place. It's a bit more expensive than our current place (not compared to you Southern types, of course!), but it has MUCH more space, including three actual double bedrooms, a separate study and utility room, and a big detached garage that you can actually get a normal sized car into... you can even open the car door once you're in! Not too pricey too, all things considered, as we're in cheapo Lancashire.
In addition to that, it's been job appraisal time (successful, too... should get enough of a payrise to nearly cover the extra rent) and my cousin got married (somewhat inconsiderately, a 6hr drive away in Suffolk!). All in all, it's been a busy few weeks.
So apologies again for the lack of updates, but standby... give me 20 minutes or so and it should all be up to date again!0 -

Now for my good news, after a lot of time focussing on the problems that I have, and getting my head out of the sand, I can now happily say that following a really, really dark period of my life, I have finally performed another great escape.
I am now 100% known debt free, as I made the last payment today.
That's £5,467.85 paid off in 18 months... and I've now got myself a savings account with some money saved in it too
Life is awesome and thank you all for the support that you give each other. You are all absolutely awesome too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I am very pleased to be back and able to report that I have reached my target of paying £5105.43 off my debt!
ETA: I'm not sure why or when my original target figure changed - I think I added up my debts incorrectly early on - but they are definitely paid in full!
Congrats to you too!
Here's your sexy medal...:T:beer::j:T:beer::j:T:beer::j

I wonder if pablosammy might allow me to update my total and target?
I've dug back through my diary and worked out that at the beginning of December, I owed £6700 in total.
That didn't reflect the amount I started the challenge with as I didn't feel I'd be able to pay it off.
However, things happened and I was able to pay off quite a large chunk of debt. Therefore, it's only right that I should have updated my target to reflect my FULL debt and try to pay that off entirely in 2015.
So I've worked out that by January, I had a debt of £6700. I wonder if pablosammy would allow me to update my challenge target to that?
Since then, I've paid off £3538.85.
So would you update my amount to be £3538.85 of £6700? (#32)
Of course you can! Well done for the payments so far.
Quick update from me too... my routine loan and student loan payments have gone out, which takes my yearly total to...

Just heard that work are moving the payday to three days later than the current pay run, how bloody annoying! As if payday doesn't already come slows enough:rotfl: :mad:0

Ahh and did I mention the rent has gone up £10 pm too... Not much in the grandscheme of things but it is an extra £120 per year to pay out. Urgh. The quicker we can leave the better... It,ll about the same for a mortgage but at least we know it's a fixed price and there's no bloomin house inspections.
Best get frugal, we are quite a way off our target yet...
I feel you on the inspections. So annoying !2017 [STRIKE]48000[/STRIKE]
