Well done on the payments everyone.
This morning I've called two of the credit card companies who I still have open accounts with, despite not having used the cards in ages. Both are paid off completely now. Both banks told me I wouldn't be allowed another card as those accounts had previously been in arrears, so both accounts have been closed today!
I'm feeling like this is progress but there's still a nagging part of my brain wondering if I should get a new credit card for 'emergencies' or to build my credit rating back up. I think I know the answer to my own question - no don't do it, I can't be trusted! So I'll focus on building an emergency fund. I won't be applying for a mortgage for many years anyway as I have a flat I can rent from my parents....so finances are gradually improving
Have a nice day allStarting 2016 debt-free

Congratulations all on reaching £2 million paid off. We're better at paying our debts back than the government haha
I finally had confirmation today the gas/elec has been switched over from SSE to ScottishPower. I really wish I hadn't bothered as it was 2.5 months since I first moved in and asked to switch. Been paying standard rate to SSE for gas/elec0 -
That's an amazing total!
Number 180 checking in with a £500 payment for august. Total paid now £932
Having a little grrrr moment at MBNA. As I made a manual payment on 30/07, and my direct debit was due to come out on 09/08, they are now not taking my DD this month. I'm going to pay the minimum payment manually on the date was due (9th) anyway as I already have the amount factored into my budget, and I have to find out what affects the DD in terms of payment dates.Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -

OK Pablosammy - I'm being brave and adding in my remaining debt, so can I change my total to £45,868.02 please? It drops my percentage paid down, but it gives me a true picture of where I am _pale_
Payments totalling £591.08 made today, so I'm updating:
#85 £19,797.25/£45,868.02 = 43.1%

We work in pounds, not percentagesWell done... it's a BIG step forward, as it mean that you've whittled it away to the point you can psychologically face up to the whole lot. I'd call that progress.
