So excited for this year coming.:T

Updated, every little counts! Me too, I haven't been excited about debt clearance before but I really think this will be the year :T
Hi, can I join in again. I'm #098 in this year's challenge. Can I keep that number please?

I'll post my total once I've made my final payment on this year's one, thanks!

  • Morning Everyone....and Morning Pablo... :)

I have a question for you Pablo....

I will probably be making lots of little Payments, as well as my big Payments.....rather than Updating on this Thread everytime I make a Payment (which could just be a few pounds), would you rather I Updated at the end or beginning of each Month? That way you don't have to keep on Updating the front Page....

Do let me know....I will still keep coming on this Thread but could just Update officially at the end of each Month....

Made another little Payment of a fiver this morning :D

Up to you! If it helps you to see regular updates on the front page, it's no great hardship for me to update it regularly. It might not be every day, but I'll try! Otherwise, a weekly/monthly digest is fine too.

Quick payment of my own! On top of reaching 100% for my 2014 total, I've managed to set aside £1,000 in YNAB for debt payment. There should be another £50 or so on top of that, but I'm finishing off the Christmas shopping today and want a bit of leeway. I'm going to keep my debt fund in my 5% TSB account (which means it totally offsets the loan interest) until I can pay the loan in full.

    So, here goes...

    #041 £1,000/£15,000 6.7%
  • Thanks for answering so quickly Pablo....Hmmmm, I think I might just do an Update every Week on a Monday....if that's okay....I think it will help me to come on here and declare what Payments I'm making... :)

Well Done for completing your 2014 Target ;)
  • I'm thinking that I might not pay anything off the debt in the first few months of 2015. Its 0% and for another 25 months. We need to save for new central heating and potentially a car too, so I think I'm going to start those savings pots then when I'm back at work and earning more money than statutory maternity pay, start throwing money at the 0% credit card also.

I figure that way we will have enough saved for central heating / car so that we don't have to take any loans etc at a higher than 0% interest rate! Plus if worse comes to worse and credit card company demand full payment - I can just use the saving pots for central heating / car.

Make sense, or am I going to regret this way of thinking?!

Sounds like a good financial decision to me. It doesn't make sense paying a 0% card off anyway, just save the money somewhere it will gain interest until the card starts charging interest (and then pay all the money saved into it).

And it ALWAYS makes sense to budget for future expenses :T
