Oooh we're quite tempted by the Silver Cross Pioneer - we need very sturdy wheels as we do a lot of off-road walking. So many options, when we went to Mothercare we were so overwhelmed! Although cyantist I would recommend going somewhere like that as it did help us understand the price range and the features we do/don't need.
I'm officially allowed to buy after 30 weeks, but all the saving and research is happening nowOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

We live in a semi rural area and leaving the house without the car involves walking along bumpy roads and stony verges. There’s no footpath for about half a mile so we need something really sturdy with good suspension. My sister has said we can have her pram (she got it for my nephew then surprisingly had a little girl shortly afterwards so it hasn’t been used much at all) but I don’t think it’s suitable for what we will need.
I suspect my (late) Christmas present this year might be a pram, while hubby gets a cot and car seat!0 -
Hello ladies! I'm excited to be joining you in this thread. Had our dating scan today and I am 13+5, so due on 20th May. So far the second trimester has been a lot more pleasant than the first!!
Definitely have a bump on the go, but it is all above my trouser waistline so makes it really obvious, but trousers are fitting no problem.
Hope everyone is doing ok0 -
If you don't qualify for maternity pay but are on maternity leave, is there anything we need to be aware off if my wife was going to take out a second job whilst on leave?0
-
Have you looked into maternity allowance? It is for people who are unable to claim statutory maternity pay.0

Hi all, just graduating from the other thread, 13+3 today, had my scan on Wednesday and just waiting patiently for the blood results now.
Don't think we will be buying a pram or furniture till the new year, 20 wk scan is scheduled for 4th Jan.
Just bought some maternity jeans from asos, so will see how they go!0 -
Hello there everyone, long time lurker here, I'm 20 weeks along with my 20 week scan next week. I've been so lucky that I had no morning sickness, have not been too tired and apart from a really bad cold and sinus infection this past week I've been lucky to be in the best of health.
So why is it that you can still get worried about the anomly scan :-(. Although before I knew what it was actually called someone convinced me it was called the "abnormality scan" :rotfl:
To be fair I'm not really, really worried but I've been wanting to crack on with a few things and then have had to stop and think mmmmm maybe its best to wait.... hey ho, I suppose its only natural to be concerned.
I've started to feel the wee poppet move and my husband even felt poppet kick as well which was amazing for him and which has made me feel reassured.
I'm still fitting in my normal clothes although jeans are starting to feel a bit tight after I've eaten! Might go source some stretchy jeans to get me through the next few weeks as don't think I'm quite at the maternity jeans stage yet....sure it'll come quickly enough!0 -
Oh my goodness 24 weeks today!!! Hope you are all well? Have a real wriggler now and finally starting to think about buying stuff although won't actually get stuff til.the new year. Going to lurk between here and the next thread now :-)Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

We're the same- might start looking in the January sales, but not in a rush. I'm a little bit jealous that I'm 14+1, but my scan is the day after yours (5th Jan). I'm already impatient to see it again!
My ebay spree has all arrived. Generally my dresses all fit OK, although obviously are still quite loose. But my jeans and trousers are still way too big, so going to stick with normal trousers for now.
My best friends mum saw me earlier, and without knowing (or being able to see bump as someone was sat in between us) asked if I was expecting- friend had warned me her mum is infamous for being able to see it from someone's face. I have no idea how...0 -
Hi Penguingirl & Vanilla8 :hello: Hope you are keeping well!
Hi Scottish Lassie, lucky you not having any morning sickness! I have been with you on the sinus infection, not niceI think it is natural to be worried before your anomly scan, I know I was! I didn't realise the depth that they go into to do checks that your baby is developing properly and which position your placenta is in - so much so, I need to go back for another scan as they couldn't check baby's spine or kidneys as it was being a bit lazy! I'm back tomorrow for this and can't wait to see baby again!
See you on the other thread in a few of weeks Cats, I;m 21+3 today xx0
