Hi and welcome Caity . I have the odd dizzy spell if i get up quickly. I imagine it is something to do with more blood going round your body.

See you on the next thread DHF.

Oh my goodness! I seem to be creeping up the blimming list a little too quickly for my liking!!!

20 week scan tomorrow {I will be 20+4} and hoping to see whether we have a dingle or a dongle :rotfl: not that we care but DD would like to know and so does DH.

Caity - in the first trimester I was bad with dizzy spells and would often go lightheaded. It is very common but as with most things it's most definitely best to get checked.

    Hope you're all ok :) x

20 week scan went well, had to walk round so they could check spine but all good. We are having another girl too, think dd will be pleased :). Will need to start digging out all the baby clothes soon.

  • Congrats wendz! Handy that you can dig out all of your DD's stuff, must save you a few pennies :) I can't wait for my 20 week scan - just want to see LO again!

Caity - I get dizzy spells too. Not as bad as what you've described, but for me I'm sure it's my blood pressure as it's been on the low side at all my appointments. Yours sounds a bit more extreme though so I'd definitely give your MW or Doctor a call.

AFM - still getting bouts of sickness and nausea. Not as many a week as say, 3 weeks ago, but yesterday was a complete write-off and work today has been a struggle. I'm certainly not glowing yet, put it that way! However, being able to share the news with friends and colleagues has been a joy, and they at least know why I'm dashing off to the ladies!

Hope you're all well. Have a good week :)

  • Have updated to include my scan date.

Thanks all, glad I'm not the only one. I rang the midwife this morning and she confirmed that it was just due to low blood pressure which is expected in pregnant women. Apparently I just have to move more slowly when standing up from kneeling!

Congrats on the news Wendz, glad it all went well. I know what you mean, Claire, can't wait to see little one on the screen again! The first scan I had was brilliant, baby kept pushing its feet off the side of my womb, propelling itself like it was on a trampoline! Turns out I was only just 11 weeks so it had plenty of space, compared to scan 10 days later.

Hope your nausea/sickness eases of son Rebekah and Claire x
