So had my scan and alls good. Baby decided to have the cord through its legs so she couldn't say what sex baby is. Kind of disappointed tbh but just very happy to know baby is all good and everything is okay.
My placenta is low lying which she said is slightly concerning only if it persists, doc did says she's hoping it will resolve itself before baby comes.
Me and OH went out and bought some unisex stuff which is very cute. Will be letting everyone else buy clothes etc as presents... Got only newborn stuff that I'll want..094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Well, we had our scan this afternoon and found out we're expecting a GIRL!!! to say we're over the moon is a massive understatement! There were lots of tears of joy. Lovely regular strong heartbeat and She's a nice size - a massive wriggler too!
Tata: glad your scan went well, what a shame about the cord being in the way.0 -

Mine did a massive yawn which was incredibly cute.. and every time the sonographer moved to a different part the feet followed! Flutterby, if you're still looking for free online courses, the OU have some short ones you can pick from under the name future learn; https://www.futurelearn.com/courses I've done quite a few of them in my spare time. Quite interesting, but not too deep or long term.
Scan done this week and NT tests. Very active little jellybean this week, jumping about and not wanting to keep still. The mums both wanted a scan photo and my dad as well as us, so that cost a small fortune. Do all hospitals charge now? Got to go for glucose tests in a few weeks. My brother has type 2 diabetes, so they are sending me for safety while it's in close family.
I'm having some really strange dreams lately, which i've read is to be expected. But, wow! Almost enjoying the sleepless nights, so i don't dream.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -

Thanks rinroo! I'm glad everything is okay but just means baby will probably not get anything from my family as I'm going home in a weeks time and really wanted to know to get the majority of clothes at home where it's cheaper :rotfl:

Hi All!
Flutterby - MOOC's are popular short free courses from Universities that can be done online, have a google.
Great news on all the good scans!
Anyone doing/done slimming world whilst pregnant? I struggle to eat fruit and veg (due to allergies) so can't do the third plate free food very often. I am not very good at sticking to it when not pregnant, but I know I am just pigging out at the moment and can't help thinking what a bad impact it must be having on the baby! Half the problem is I still feel really sick in the morning so eat what I like then get the "oh well I've blown it for the day" feeling and carry on!
I am already a stone heavier than when I was 23wks pregnant last time and most of the weight went on in the final trimester. I just think if I can do something about it now, not to lose weight but to mitigate huge gains I'll be grateful in June. Anyone doing it and can offer some tips? I just crave toast when I feel sick!0 -

Hi money Penney, I've been doing SW kind of while pregnant.. I was doing it previous to getting pregnant and lost 2 stone. I've gained less than one stone ATM, which is grand for nearly half way through.
My best advice is to try and figure out if there is one meal of the day that you find easier - for me, it's breakfast and lunch. Dinner is usually whatever I fancy. Make sure to have your hexs and get your extra hex a as well! In terms of fruit and veggies, I'd say have plenty of what you can eat/like - I'm loving melon, strawberries and nectarines! In saying that I ate 2 chocolate bars and I've had pizza etc so I know it's hard
Other than that, try not to worry too much, the more pregnant I become the more I realise that everyone is different. I'm suppose to gain whatever weight I need to and I'm sure it will drop off after094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Thanks Tata. I know, so many people have said not to worry but I had a 2.5 stone gain (after baby was born!) last time and I'm nearly at 2 stone gain now with 17 weeks to go
I find it so hard to lose when not pregnant I thought trying to mitigate a total disaster would be helpful! If I don't end up BFing I will have no chance of losing it! That was the best diet I've ever done
I find breakfast hard because I like dippy eggs and SW potato scones which are free but can't have the dippy eggs at the moment. Also I can only eat rice krispies as cereal and hate eating fruit before lunch time so I end up eating rice krispies for about 10 syns a bowl then feeling like Ive blown it for the rest of the day. Lunch and dinner I can do fine, its the snacking really. Mornings are even harder now with feeling sick. Maybe I can do SW post 12 noon and whatever the heck I want before then?!Well done on the small gain, that is great

Money Penney, that's exactly what id do. If your only having a bowl of Rice Krispies and milk, then I'd eh, 'tweek' and try and use after your cereal as your day!
If you plan on breast feeding, that will definitely help! Have you tried making home made oat cookies/muffins for mornings? You could add in fruit there as well.
I'm good as gold for breakfast and lunch usually.. It's dinner time and after dinner munchies that get me!
I think my gain is purely down to fear of the 'weightwatchers' scales at each of my OB appointments!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Crazycatlady - Thanks. I remembered about the OU after I posted the other day so have signed up. I have done one course already, a children and play one. I'm contemplating becoming a childminder so it's a step in right direction if I do. There are loads of interesting ones on there! Oh and I had 2 weeks of crazy dreams, then nothing for 2 weeks and they started again last night!moneypenny21 wrote: »Flutterby - MOOC's are popular short free courses from Universities that can be done online, have a google.
Anyone doing/done slimming world whilst pregnant?
Moneypenny21 - Thanks, I shall google MOOC's tomorrow in work! I am very loosely following SW. I usually do ok for breakfast and lunch but then mess it up at dinner when I can't decide what I want so snack on toast then eat pizza :rotfl:.
