12-24 weeks pregnant (part 4)

MW called this morning from the hospital and booked my first vbac clinic appointment - 23rd December was the earliest they could fit me in, glad I asked her to chase it! I also booked some hypnobirthing classes today, starting in January. Doing everything possible to avoid a repeat section!

Glad you've found some nice clothes Lulu, I got some new bits from Debenhams last week as some of my stuff from last time is quite worn and none of my regular clothes fit now! I must be getting quite round as a tactless colleague asked me yesterday if I was sure it wasn't twins :eek: don't know where some people get the nerve!

Somehow I've managed to pull something in my groin. Heaven knows what I've done but getting up and walking has been quite painful for the last two days. Never had anything like this before

How's everyone else, nice weekends? We did loads of unpacking on Saturday morning, house is pretty much done now apart from transferring loft contents from garage to loft, which has to wait until someone else can help DH with the lifting! Sunday we were supposed to go to DH's sister for lunch, but her boyfriend had the flu so we had to cancel, and went Christmas shopping instead. Got a fair bit done, but loads more to do still I was sore and achy by the evening both days, am getting pain in my pelvis most evenings now which I think might be the start of SPD, so this weeks plan is to try and avoid aggravating it. It's DD's birthday on Friday though, so we've got a busy weekend coming up with her party
I'm 24 weeks today :j feels like another milestone passed, so am trying to feel more optimistic, especially as baby is really active now. Need to start getting organised really, as been putting off doing much until we felt more sure of a good outcome (apart from moving house!). I've found some hypnobirthing classes which start in January and signed us up.

Hi ladies,

Just realised I have also 'graduated'! I am now 24+4 :eek: where is the time going?!

Still got loads of things to buy/sort out, but bought a buggy at the weekend so very excited about that! Went for the Stokke Scoot as it is what I have had my heart set on all along - finally got the time to go and test one out in the shop yesterday and loved it! Next big job is to get the nursery cleared out so that we can finally have somewhere to put all the stuff we keep buying!

I'll still be lurking, but see you all on the next thread soon!!

Had my mw appointment today. Iron levels were 144 which she said was amazing for twins!

She did a check of the heartbeat and found two: 154bpm and 147bpm although she did say one could be an echo of the other as it's hard with one doppler to find both. She's satisfied they're both as they're different.

Next appt is 25th January. Until then I have my flu jab and consultant appointment on Thursday. Not too sure what to expect from the first consultant appt?

ETA - My grandma has said she will "work her magic" on my grandpa for the pram. She wants to buy us a Bugaboo Donkey!

Argh! So excited! Graduated already. Birth seems so far away still so not 'real' yet that I'm in the final stretch. Loving feeling the strong kicks. See everyone in the next thread.
