Also, we bought a maxi cosi seat and base, planning to use for the next stage seat as well, but then learnt about extended rear facing seats, which mostly have their own isofix fittings anyway, or are belted depending on the model. As we decided we were definitely going for an ERF seat, but maxi cosi's 2 way one required a different base to the one we had, we went for a different make altogether.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Hi all!
Can't believe I'm number 1 on the list, eek! 24+3 today, really feel like I've popped, I definitely look pregnant rather than fat now!! Our little madam has been kicking & rolling around like mad. Got a midwife appt tomorrow, and still trying to sort out my maternity leave with HR.
I have been lucky *so far* and haven't been experiencing heartburn yet. I've had leg cramps in the night & a had night last week with very restless legs & achey knees. DH & I also spent a long time cleaning the house on Saturday (it needed it!) and I ended up with a very achey back!
Littlesnuggy I'm exactly the same with pelvic floor exercises! I'm terrible at remembering!
LittleMoog hope you don't ache too much by the end of the week!
I've (possibly a little stupidly) said I'll do some overtime in a couple of weeks, I wouldn't normally but the money is very good as it's weekends. 6 hours on a Saturday, and 12.5 hours on a Sunday. As I only work 3 days of 12.5 hours a week, I'm hoping it won't be too bad. We are near my target for savings for when I'm on maternity, but with DH looking for a new job I'd like our savings to be as healthy as possible! At the moment I'm feeling ok, so hoping I will still by then!
DH seems to be feeling better about work, he's still looking for other things but is eating & sleeping properly now. My hormones got the better of me last week & I burst onto tears in front of one of my bosses telling her all about it as I felt so frustrated that there wasn't anything I could do to help him!
We were given a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix & Easyfix base by my cousin so we are going to use those until baby is about 4/6 months, then iI'm hoping to buy a Maxi Cosi AxissFix as I really like that it has a 360degree swivel; I've had back & shoulder problems in the past & think this will be much easier to get baby in & out of the car. Not cheap, but should do us until around 4 years, & as were given the Cabriofix I think we can spend a bit more on the next stage.
Is anyone going to ante natal classes? We are booked on the NCT ones which start in 4 weeks. I'm quite looking forward to meeting pregnant couples near us!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
Littlesnuggy tbh I fell in love with joolz almost straight away and couldn't see past it. I did like the stokke prams but they were a bit pricier, my husband liked the egg ones. I compared the joolz to a mamas and papas and prefered the feel of the joolz. The day earth has a small compartment but hopefully with the shopping bag it'll be enough. I started doubting if I should have gone for the Geo but on second thoughts if I go shopping in the city I wouldn't fancy putting my bags in such an open compartment - too many sticky fingers around! If I'm going shopping ill probably buy a mummy clip.
The cybex cloud Q lies flat, the isofix can't be used on the next stage but the next stage has it inbuilt so I still went for it.
I've been getting heartburn too. Used my free dental treatment for a check up, my gums were bleeding but she said it's probably just due to pregnancy. Tried to get most of my Christmas shopping this weekend, think I carried too much my muscles around my bump are quite sore. I'm definately at the pregnant looking stage now. Starting to get a bit uncomfortable, have to sit down after standing for a while. Not long until I am off for christmas.
Littlemoog it must be so exciting, you can start nesting. We are getting our keys in 2 weeks, fingers crossed all goes well. It'll be more travelling to work but hopefully worth it.
I feel kicks everyday now, it's lovely, really enjoying that part!0 -
P.S. not sure how much money I'll have for shopping on maternity pay anyway!0

Bean we're due date buddies! Only just realised this is the last week til we move onto the next thread. Doesn't trimester 3 only officially start at 26/27 weeks, though?
Oooh, I hadn't noticed we were due date buddies littlesnuggy! I see you're being induced early though, so I kind of hope we don't end up being birth date buddies as I'll only have been on maternity leave for a week by then and I need more time to prepare :rotfl:
Off buggy shopping at the weekend, got my heart set on the Stokke Scoot so hope I like it as much when I actually see it. I will take a look at some of the others just in case, and OH is coming too so he might have an opinion! (I don't have to actually listen to him though, do I...?!)

Haha sweeti Very good point about the shopping amounts being restricted by funds! I too am in love with the Joolz range which is why I'm finding it hard to think maybe it's not the best option for us. It didn't help that they had the Geo in my least-favourite colour (turtle green) and the fabric looked all shiny. I'm sure in parrot blue it would've looked a lot different. Am near a big John Lewis with work next week so will try and nip in (without DH!) to have another play.
Bean I only recently got my act together and joined the thread so kind of snuck in! Enjoy pram shopping - hope the Stokke lives up to your expectations0 -

Hi lemon tree! Welcome :-)
My back has been so sore today and I had morning sickness again this morning. ..what was I saying about being convinced about it being gone? Already on the Christmas holiday countdown! Can't wait to get confirmation of my maternity leave dates.0 -
Hi All
Well the indigestion and sicky feeling has definitely kicked in, anyone got any tips, food is very unappealing at the moment!
On a better note I had my neurology appointment yesterday, the consultant isnt going to change a thing, my seizure meds are the best for pregnancy so he doesnt want to start messing with them. But neither does he want to increase the dosage as I'm already on pretty much the maximum and will only increase if the seizures re-appear.
I'm also on another one which acts for anxiety as well as being an anti-seizure med, he would have preferred me to have been off that one before getting pregnant but now that I'm on it I'm staying on it. Really nice helpful chap, I was worried he was going to make me cut down or even stop them!
And now just to do battle with the Endocrinologist to insist on an increase of my thyroid meds as I know when its out of whack even when they insist the numbers are within normal range!0
